This is my feelings as well.. The more they have to talk about knowing about shadow, while still hiding this, the deeper the lie and more uncomfortable it gets when he does find out.
I believe it has to do with the implications of such reveal would bring to light. That Tim is only half-human, his mother has been lying to him all his life, and how he will view his current life going forward.
His parents fear he will feel out of place in his normal life. And I imagine she doesn’t know how to deal with the situation yet. These fears are irrational, but fear isn’t rational.
Yeah, true. She seemed so eager back before. Now not so much.
I think it’s one of two things. Either she just doesn’t want to drop something like that on him right now, or she’s scared of dragging him into everything she’s connected to in Nox and believes that as long as he doesn’t know, he’s safe (though I imagine, if anything, the opposite is true, and keeping him in the dark is actually more dangerous for him).
Yes, have her over for dinner. The sooner you all go looking for her the better!
Man, the wait for Ruth’s secret coming out is killing me.
It might be just me but it also feels like the longer the first part of the secret (Shadow) remains out in the open being talked about, without the full truth, the ‘deeper’ the lie gets for the parents. All this talk about how cool they are being and such is all nonsense and he will understand that after the full truth comes out. It would make me feel a lot more uncomfortable after the fact personally if i was him. Once he finds out.
Thanks for the new page Brandon. As always. Please continue the great work. But make sure to do it at a pace comfortable for you. You don’t want to burn out or something. Like so many manga authors do with multi month releases. 🙂

There has never been any question that both Tom and Ruth have known that Shadow was Noxian since she first started appearing from under Tim’s bed .

Well they’re both eating two completely identical plates of spaghetti noodles with no sauce. Just noodles. Without silverware.

I have problems in deciding just what’s “wierd” to other people.
I mean, after 22 years in the service, one thing I have learned is never let any obstacle stand between you and your meal. Up to and including dog dishing that sucker if necessary.
