You realize that by this point in the story, Shadow is 19 and Tim is 18? They’re both old enough to be legal adults.
No they aren’t. Tim is in high school which is a 15 – 17 range and best. Shadow is also a child by whatever standards monsters call children. I’m just saying that they need to be careful with this.
Depending on where they live, Tim could be an 18 year old and still go to high school. Many high schoolers spend half the year as 18 year olds in their senior year.
Shadow has her ears pierced, which seems like an engagement or pre-engagement thing for Noxians. Her classmates are also having sex all the time, unlike earlier in the series, where none of that is suggested. It suggests that Shadow is indeed an adult.
If Brandon could weigh in on their ages, that would be a big help here!!
