You do realize this is like a HUUGE flash back to MANY MANY years ago yes? LOL
Actually, while this is a flashback, the camera is from an even earlier point. It’s one of his Father’s old cameras he doesn’t use anymore. Thomas (Tim’s dad) is actually a photographer.
The point was that the monster did not realize that he could get the physical photo so soon. Even today that would be hard to do. We could take 100 photos for every one they took, but getting hard copy that quickly and easily would be difficult.
Ahhh! Yes, she knows what a camera is, but might not understand every facet of it yet. She just knows they are bad news.
Tim used Flash. It was super effective at pissing off the monster.

Sorry for the double post but does this comic have a set update schedule or is it fairly random? I assume random because I know life can happen especially if you’re a solo artist.
I usually aim for Sundays for updates, BUT Christmas kinda threw off my schedule a bit. I’m trying to fix that. I’ve also got a day job too so…. *sigh* what can I say? XD
Hmm… So Timothy is 8 years old in this flash back scene. At the beginning of the series was he also 8 then as well?
LOL! NO! He is NOT 8 years old during the beginning! He’s 18 when the actual present day events take place.
Oh good then. I read the comments from the first or second page and it had me confused. I’m loving the comic so far and since Girls with Slingshots is ending soon I’m glad I found a replacement rather quickly.

Yes, this a bit of a milestone! It’s the first page of the year, and I’ve also made it to 10 pages. A nice, round number. Actually, today (the 7th of January) has also been my highest recorded view count day as well so far I’ve just noticed. Huzzah!

I think Terry Pratchett explains it best in his book The Hogfather – There is the “Ostrich” theory of putting your head in the sand so no-one will see you extended to the idea of if you have a blanket over your head the bogey-man can’t see you and therefore doesn’t exist, so if you put a piece of blanket over his head he can’t see you, so he thinks he can’t exist

Sorta reminds me of a cross between a Xenomorph and one of the Heartless from Kingdom Hearts!
