My biggest question is not about Ruth = Blackheart, but instead, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE BOOK BLACKHEART GAVE TO NIGHTMARE?!?!?!

Although, there is a second book in play regarding Nightmare, the one she dug up for Terminus. While it is not hinted at being magical in itself like the one Sunny dropped on Shade, it seemed to be a history book, quite likely to be holding dangerous secrets of its own.
Yeah The book Terminus has is boring old History text about ancient ruins or some such totally boring thing. <.<
These are all good suggestions, questions, and comments… but here’s my retort: Tim’s mom has got it going on….
I’m not seeing a big problem, since #96 indicates that Lady Blackheart knows Shadow is involved with a boy, and in #42, Tim says his mom “has a weird way of knowing things” –and in #41, there is a picture of his mom maybe using psychic power to detect Tim’s dad digging into her secret stash of edible goodies.
What this cartoon #109 tells me is, Ruth now knows FOR CERTAIN that Tim is more positively affected by Shadow, than negatively affected. I’m pretty sure moms-in-general like for their boys to like girls…and the last panel of this cartoon seems to back support that idea.
The psychic snack radar is actually one of the stronger clues Ruth is human. All human females I have known have that innate power.
