Hahahahaha! I like the way Shadow just stays there like a hero:hands a little bit far from the body,hands tight shut like she’s about to punch someone,legs a little bit streched and “the cape” blowing in the wind xDDD.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not good.
P.S:I was expecting you Brandon to “show” us Shadow in her costume from behind(goodness that sounds wierd…) instead of a frontal shot as I will “guess” that most of the peeps from here wanted.Bu all an’ all is good *thumbs up*

Hmmm…let’s look at this from a logical perspective shall we?
Either Shadow is gonna lie to Ruth that she has painted her face and got collored contact lenses or she’s gonna have a mask(which we were not told about…yet 😉 ).
Now,onto the second point:if Shadow jusr spoke to Ruth then I guess that de-bunks some theories I’ve seen a while back whih stated that the monsters have a somewhat distorted voice,but so very slightly then purs…but no,this prooves tht they have normal voices as ours.
And yes ‘Ruth is Blackheart’ fans,I avoided that speculation to try to find other explinations.Otherwise it’s extremely eaay for me to say “Ruth is Blackheart and already knows what is happening so she will ignore any kind of give-away’s that would make Shadow look suspicious to a human”.
But for me that still feels like to simple of a plot.

Just tossing in on the “if Ruth = Blackheart she will ignore any tells” I would say just the opposite, she would call out any mistakes so Shadow can correct them and not get caught by actual humans.
That aside, I expect Sunny would have given her the once over about a dozen times for the same reason to begin with, so I expect its as perfect as its going to get. We should find out in about a week or two.
Hmm… Red Riding Hood? Maybe would be better with a basket for the goods, but looks it good already. Also i get a bit jealusy about towards Tim’s Father.

Good catch on the shadows from #95, we do not need to make “The Same Mistakes.” Any one wonder about the book Shadow had with her? What type of assistance it may have been able to provide in her costume enhancement(s)?
The way all that clothing covers her up, I’m currently of the opinion that the book had nothing to do with assisting Shadow’s disguise. If we think about anything like the hypothesized Ruthie/Blackheart transformation, which includes a skin-color change, well, if Shadow had experienced that, there would be no need for all that cloth covering arms and legs, see? So I’m thinking the book was more important in terms of navigating the human world, from whatever portal she used, to reach Tim’s front door.
Is it that she now has 4 fingers and she has turned herself human with the book? Yeah I got that. Still want to know what her face looks like.
Shadow’s outfit looks like a mix between American McGee Alice and Little red riding hood. Cool !!

Oh dear gods Shadow as red riding hood…. yep that’s just going to be the cutest thing ever. And a cute girl asking the mother if her son is home, either she is going to get suspicious or she is going completely kawaii that her son has a cute (girl)friend.

Kawaii got several levels depending on the situation.
This page is looks amazing. I can see more work was done on the background and the brick wall. The juxtaposition of panel 1 and 4 looks nice. Excellent work on shadows all around, especially on the second and last panels. I also see that tennis father gets his own speech color for the first time.
Does Shadow notice anything familiar about Ruths voice? And I personally love the choice that you did with Little Red Riding Hood and her power stance. I do wonder if it was a missed opportunity that we don’t get to see Shadow change into that costume or were she appered from. I’m going to bet she is in human form.

Awesome, this page is just perfect. =D I can’t wait to see the next one and know what happens next. Probably Tim’s jaw is going to crack the floor by dropping.

Only thing missing from this page was a panel of her looking awestruck at the night sky, assuming that before her only experience of the world was subterranean tunnels and chambers of Nox, or the various bedrooms of Earth. Although, that could just as easily come later when she and Tim go out.
I disbelieve that Noxians never go outside — after all what is that sleazy Terminus is doing? There is a point here, though: there are way too many new things for Shadow. This idea will perhaps be expanded next week, and there is only one individual who knows that for sure 🙂
It’s not that they never go outside, it’s that there is no outside to go to. Nox is a dimension of underground. kind of like a dimension of pure itchy or a room with a moose.
I think it might be a mistake to think that they never get out. Remember all those portals? Earth is likely not the only possible destination, and of course in OUR universe (not the Nox realm) there are plenty of worlds with night skies.
And there is a clue that they do know about such things. In #79 ( /?comic=79-grudge <–append that to the website name) one of the girls in the Bed Bugs group is named "Sunset"…. Only 5 girls have we seen in that group, Shadow, Midnight, Nightmare, Gloom, and Sunset, although a couple other Nox girls, older, have been portrayed namelessly in #48 ( /?comic=48-pushing-her-buttons –last panel has a communal bath scene).
She has eyes on the prize: CANDY! There will be time for sightseeing after the bags are full.
I haven’t really seen anyone suggest this, but could Timothy’s Mother be Lady Darkclaw?
I mean, I can’t be the only one who sees that possibility…
Um…Lady Darkclaw??? I am assuming you really meant Lady Blackheart, “the missing mother”. It has often been suggested that Ruthie is actually Lady Blackheart between a few similarities in both character’s appearance and, the fact that Blackheart apparently took up with a human male and the fact that she has taken an interest in Shadow. If Ruthie is not Lady Blackheart she probably has a connection with her.
