Now, now… There is a thing that sprung into my head, as it predictably occurs when reading a fresh page: what if adult Tim got his buckle not from Shadow, but from his father. The plot THICKENS.
My reasoning behind this is that he, father, won’t be bluffed by Shadow’s disguise, will have a talk with Tim, and that will be a secret between 3 (or 4) of them, albeit I am not a fan of the latter quantity of persons.
Admittedly this is a wild speculation, regardless it’s something I would be thrilled to see.
I get it now why you said this page was difficult, but still awesome job as always !

oh，finally the new update come! I come to read it last weekend but it didn’t update,and I come again today mooning but no update too。well, shadow looks pretty beautiful with human’s dress。And we can almost know that Blackheart was Tim’s mom !
Remember that’s not the costume Tim was talking about. U can tell cause that does not have any orange in it like Tim said the costume he remembers had

It wasn’t so much a yellow lion suit as possibly Lady Blackheart going out without her human disguise.
Think about it. Her skin is yellow, she has a mane of glorious hair, pointy ears a tail and sharp teeth and claws. To a small child, that’s a lion. However she can’t put it on or else Shadow would immediately recognize her.
Or again, our dear author is messing with us.
Having seen Midnight and Shadow as samples of Nox morphology (clawed 3-toed feet and 4-fingered hands, elongated ears), Tim seeing his mom as Lady Blackheart should make it obvious to him that she is Nox, too.

Well, darn. Now, we’ve got to wait until next week to find out if Timothy’s mom recognizes Shadow in her Halloween getup.
There is no way that Tim’s mother would ever “recognize” Shadow before she’s willing to admit she’s from Nox. Assuming she’s from Nox.
Shadow could plausibly recognize Tim’s mother. But even there, even with the sophistication of a teenager, I would guess she would want to confide that with Tim before letting Tim’s mother know she was recognized. Or, at the least, talk about it with her in Nox, before doing so in hostile territory. Admittedly, with the sophistication of a teenager, she could still slip up in that regard – much more plausible than Ruth slipping up.
Dang Brandon attention to detail much lol. I hope you where looking at someone inspiring to churn this comic out.
