Shadow’s earlier comment implied that she wasn’t appearing under his bed, but via some other path. We’ve been told that all their portals are under beds, so I’ve been wondering whose bed she appeared under this time. Will this be part of the story line?
Look at #103 ( /?comic=103-boy-trouble <–append that to the web-site name), and it is clear that Shadow routinely uses multiple portals. She will know if nobody is home, shortly after she arrives. If a portal consistently has no one there, then it could be ideal for doing something like changing her outfit for Halloween, before leaving that house and making her way to Tim's house ("the long way around" mentioned in the last comic, #116).

She very well might be in human form. Notice the monsters all have 3 fingers + thumb. In the last panel, Shadow has four.

Hmmm … I hadn’t noticed that detail. 3 fingers + a thumb, actually. Does that mean that the monsters count in base 8? I could see that being used in the story as the source of a small but significant misunderstanding between them and humans.

Shit Just Got Real
On a previous comment-page someone asked what human name Shadow might use, while walking amongst humans. After thinking about it a bit (and remembering she also is sometimes called “Shade”), the closest-sounding “normal” human name I can think of, for her, is “Sadie”.
Cliffe Steele seems to be the only Doom Patrol member that appears in all it’s incarnations.
