#123 “Blind Leading the Blind”
So… they’ve found a door. One of Many. Get it?
Cause at Halloween there’s lots of doors, and Terminus has been searching for this very specific door! Eh? Eh?! Bah.
Chapter titles, man.
PATREON Support the comic?
“Do you want what’s behind door number one, door number two or door number three?”

The lady, the tiger, or Cthulhu?
Why is there a Necron Doom Scythe on the door? (ref: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/File:Doomscythe02_873x627.jpg)

clicking on your link was a good ideea
I like the title…and the pun in the description. But I think the pun lines up better with the title of the chapter “many doors” 😛
Hmmm….. an ancient, forgotten door located deep in the old ruins.
That cant bode well.
I wonder. Would this work? * speaks friend in elvish *………… nope. No luck there. I guess Nightmare and whatever his name is will be the ones to unlock the door.
Looks like they need at least 2 Aegises to even attempt to get in. I wonder if he knew that beforehand?
Id rather pretend that hes not that smart, just that lucky.
Haha!
2 aegises… the fact that the door even needs those to open would seem to indicate that a certain amount of fear is needed to open it. Given that they’ve been searching for this door for a bit and presumably skipping scaring duties they may not have enough to open the door. Perhaps not even enough if they had been spooking folks.
And we know from the adult timeline that Tim eventually gets an aegis.
And that he and Shade are VERY good at charging the things.
The book Terminus is holding might have something in there about needing 2 Aegises to open it. I looked over some past comics to see the extent Terminus encouraged Nightmare to accompany him on his search for the door, and so far it looks more like some Nightmare experiencing some infatuation, plus her desire for more frightfulness training, might explain her tagging along, more than Terminus encouraging her. So maybe the book didn’t say anything about 2 Aegises, and Terminus simply got lucky.
One thing we need to keep in mind is that Nightmare is probably about the same age as Shadow, while Terminus appears to be several years older. He might be encouraging some “puppy love” infatuation, while having no intention of reciprocating. (Well, he *is* a monster, after all!)
Well, if they really need a break, perhaps they could go trick-or-treating…
They don’t know what Halloween is, only Shadow, for now. As far as we know, anyway. 😉
Life has many doors ed-boys.
Hello, ed-boys. Many doors, yes?
I’ll see myself out now…
Grumpy red girl is grumpy!
Time to read the whole comic again
Heh. Okay!
And once again a tantrum leads to where people need to go. Quick Nightmare spin this to your favor.
Strange door on Halloween… that doesn’t usually end well for those who find it first.
This is true, I sense a foreboding… something.
Terminus: “There’s just something in the air — can’t you just feel it?”
Brandon: “foreboding”
Hmmmm… What about “Halloween seeping from Earth to Nox”?
In all the monster movies, the squeally, usually girl, gets eaten first. Lets hope she is smart enough to let him make all the attraction noises.
The problem here is, Nightmare hasn’t seen any monster movies….
3 Question what is there species called. Would a hybrid possibile betwen human and lets just say bed monster possible like drawing one. How did shadow get out beacause i dont think she yoused tims bed.
1. Noxians.
2. Not telling.
3. The Hammock in Tim’s backyard. 😉
Wait the title and description. Is that a pans labyrith reference?
Does he remind anyone else of beast boy from teen titans?
If they had a keyblade they could just tap it to open. A Keyblade can open any lock!
Hm. Now whose bed could THAT door lead to?
IF this door takes both a male and a female Aegis to open, then since females are limited to accessing spaces under beds, and males could be limited to accessing closets (see comment by Brandon on next comment page), then we might expect this type of doorway to lead to a different kind of shadowy place altogether, perhaps basements/cellars.
Not sure why he let that little detail slip, its spoiler territory.
Although if you look at the indents in the door, they are the same shape. My take on the whole gender assigned portals is that that its just social rules, like Shadow finding closets yucky, but that an aegis is an aegis, capable of opening any kind of the portals. Did she hate the idea of being shoved into a closet just for an ick factor? Or because she may have ended up back in Nox in forbidden territory with some tough explaining to do? I mean, look at Blackheart who seems to know all the ins, outs, and back roads of the portal network to slip around unseen. Then again, she may have modded hers, it does show signs of possible tampering.
