Nox has technological features (lights in corridor walls), but that tech –even if magic-based tech– has partially failed (ruins), and might be failing more as time goes by. I’m guessing that the “core” is the heart of the Nox life-support system, and its location was lost in whatever calamity caused the ruins.
That hypothesis has a couple problems, though, because the book that Terminus and Nightmare were using in their search was written after the calamity, so why did the author not tell everyone that he had found the crucial door? (See #85– /?comic=85-a-dusty-old-book –for the title of the book). In our world, when a book is printed, the minimum edition is something like 1500 copies, so why was this book so hard to find? Are Nox folks manually scribing stuff one book at a time, like monks in a monastery? But in such a world books are extremely valuable, and children are generally not allowed to freely browse them (protect them from childish carelessness).
I guess/hope we will find out such things, eventually.
For all we know, the books author did share it with the adults, they either chose not to share it with the children for their safety, or to avoid power hungry children like terminus trying to give himself a boost. also i feel that most likely the collection of fear is related to the core anyways, possibly an attempt to keep the lights on? and they use the Reaver selection as a veil to keep the children unaware and eager to collection without becoming desperate.(after all we haven’t heard of anyone pulling a Randall(M Inc) in this comic yet.
I have a feeling one of two things will happen. 1. They find the core, trigger a trap and the girl is left behind while the guy leaves with a sinister smile or 2. They will get caught by their respective leaders and are reprimanded to the point of expulsion from their organizations. Either way, its not going to be pretty
Technically the tail could be. Erogenous zones are not only genitals, any part of the body with a denser amount of nerve endings and used in acts of physical intimacy can be considered an erogenous zone. In humans this includes the mouth, in particular the lips and tongue, nipples, lower back, and even ears, and for some the underarms and thighs despite not having denser nerve clusters or thinner skin in those regions. Thus it is reasonable to assume for Noxians, their tails would be considered erogenous zones comparable to the lips of humans, an area of densely clustered nerves that is used in acts showing affection that are not inherently sexual but may, and likely do, cross over to that in the appropriate situations. but these are just assumptions based on what evidence is available.
The most important sex organ is the mind. The phrase “there is no accounting for taste” entirely explains every type of fetish ever imagined, simply because the most important sex organ is the mind.
Hey Brandon I am I have been greatly enjoying this comic for a few months now and I have no complaints. I do suggest you change the voting incentives more often though even if you just reuse old incentives since many people wouldn’t have seen the previous ones.
I thought Destiny was a stripper on the lower east side. Ya know, the one with the ‘tasles’ and clear high heels?
Why would term want a stripper when he has some steaming red right in front of him :b
Well well I guess we shouldn’t be surprised these to are going ALL the way. Guess we shouldn’t be surprised he was chasing tail he is a guy. But seriously girls are always getting it wrong we don’t want to get in there pants we want to get them out of there pants.
Ok now that most of the remaining sex puns are out of the way I wonder what the problem is and I hope it doesn’t invovle Viagra. Sorry I had to fit that last one in the end. ;-D
Random question, but has a noxian (is that what you call them?) ever killed someone? Like, has any Noxian killed a human or, hell, even another of their own kind?
What’s the (estimated) breakdown of those statistics, pls Brandon?
-How many humans vs. how many Noxians do the Nox murder per annum?
-How much of an exisential threat to human life are these Nox?
-Do we humans need to support an expeditionary force to subdue them or eliminate their threat to Our Way of Life?
-What would Putin do? Trudeau? Merkel? Abe?
Hmmmm….
The Nox are perfectly placed (hidden in closets or under beds) to be stealthy assassins (NINJAS!). All they need is motivation in any particular case.
Say some Craig-type actually performs personal inidgnities on one of the Bed Bugs. Either one of her sisters or an adult could remove him from the breeding pool without depleting the available fear by a significant amount & might even increase the fear limit from the next victim.
I wonder if Nox has an equivalent of the Zodiac killer or some other well known serial killer, that would be interesting. Wonder if that’s actually gonna happen later on down the line. Not now cause they’re still kids, ya don’t kill kids, but soon hopefully :3
It was a US “science” fiction movie that came out around 15 years ago, called ‘The Core’. I’ll spare you from as much of the plot as possible, but the central antagonist was a malfunctioning piece of equipment called ‘Destiny’ that was triggering a global cataclysm. And your comic is way too cool to be referencing that odious film, hence the spray bottle.
Noooooo! Don’t spray the Artist! He gives us out digital fix. Never compromise the fix! I shall shield you from the spray, Brandon! *cue dramatic side jump**takes the spray instead* Go on and leave me. Make beautiful comics in my memory.*exhales last breath*

And here I tough I would be sasisfied with the week’s page! Now I can’t wait for the next one (happen absolutely every time btw…)
Any particular reason Nightmare’s holding her tail like that in the last panel? Isn’t their tail an erogenous zone?
No, it isn’t. It’s a bit more sensitive than their other limbs and they use it for gestures of intimacy and affection, but it’s not an erogenous zone.
Yeah, you can’t really jerk it off or anything. XD Well, I bet it’d feel good if you did it long enough…
I remember Tim handling Shadows tail for only a moment before she told him that she was not “That Type of Girl”
She was joking, of course.

nice analysis, Chaos

Well look at her expression and body language. I don’t think she is shy of a bit of intimacy. 🙂
I want to see them do it.
Me too friend, me too.
same. XD
Hey Brandon do you have people who draw backgrounds or do you do it
I do everything myself.
You’re very good at drawing. And storytelling.
Well she’s not adverse to the idea, a blind person could see that they are attracted to each other.
Well, it’s nice to see the two of them getting along so well now.

What’s wrong with the core?
Who said there’s anything wrong with it? They are just going there! 🙂
There are crawlies and maybe even RATS ! (A Midnight snack? Noxians evolved those teeth & claws for SOMETHING.)
I thought Destiny was a stripper on the lower east side. Ya know, the one with the ‘tasles’ and clear high heels?

” I had to fit that last one in the end…”
As The Actress said to The Bishop. (Boom-tish!)
I swear if I see a single “Nox is my city” comment imma flip a table.
Random question, but has a noxian (is that what you call them?) ever killed someone? Like, has any Noxian killed a human or, hell, even another of their own kind?
Yes, they have murder just like us.
What’s the (estimated) breakdown of those statistics, pls Brandon?

Well I’d assume they’d most likely kill their own kind because they just use humans to obtain fear
Hmmmm….

Wait a second… *Destiny* awaits? And they’re going to the *core*? …(Gets out spray bottle) NO! Bad artist! That was a BAD MOVIE. 🙂
What? What movie? Huh?! Gah!
It was a US “science” fiction movie that came out around 15 years ago, called ‘The Core’. You may be the only sufferer to have seen that film. (I certainly haven’t in over 70 years)
You have my sympathy.

I had far too much fun with that lol.
You bet your ass you did XD
