A door with again two slots for Aegis. Presumably a male and a female one.
Questions that’ll need answers at some point:
– Is this door locked in the same way as the first one?
– If so, why lock it at all, since you already needed two Aegis to enter. A second door with the same lock isn’t much of a protection, is it?
– Unless: Do the locks drain the Aegis’ stored power? Then, a second door might be an effective obstacle to anyone but guild leaders, who should have access to the collected power of their subordinates.
SO, just read one of Brandon’s replies that the other carvings on this door are actually part of a mechanism, unlike on the first door.
Looks like they need those two crescent-shaped thingies, which probably are a) ‘lost’ and well-hidden artifacts (guildmasters might know where they are) or b) in the posession of the guildmasters.
Yes, he does, but I expanded on it, seeing that the crescent shapes are the same shade of red and also connected by lines to the middle part. So, whatever the key to this lock is, those two will need to somehow get their hands on it, and I think it will be more difficult than retrieving obscure yet not secured book in the library.
For some reason I imagine Vanessa VanCleef’s dialogs slightly revamped as narration for the doors. “Heh, FOOL! You didn’t honestly think there would be only one door did you?!”
Well now this could go one of three ways I say. They will either try to get the door open and fail and decide to call it a night or day I guess and come back later, which could lead to a hot scene between them in Nightmares room. They will try to get the door open which triggers a defence mechanism which results in one of them getting killed, probably Nightmare. Or they try to get the door open and succeed and continue on. Personally hoping for the first one. I like Nightmare
Did they need to keep their aegis on the first door to keep it open? If so, that’d be annoying. You’d need like a whole team of people/monsters with aegises.

so your here too now that’s a surprise
Looks like I am, but I don’t seem to recognise you…
Also, tell me how that’s a surprise 🙂
Brandon’s reply mentions the object is in the middle of the door, so it would be that crystal looking thing.

Another door, you’ve got to be jokeing.. Atlest they can open it right away and we can see some character motivation.
Also someone stole your comic and made it into a TV show. https://youtu.be/8U11H-3j3Ho
There’s also a third mechanism on this door. The author mentioned it in an earlier reply.
Why? I think the term Lock-blocking is thr most apropriate
Nightmare’s tail is sexy as hell, and I think she’s the most beautiful character.

I’m expecting a harem outta left field but one that makes sense
Eh? This ain’t no harem series… despite the high female>male ratio.
Brandon, about your apologies… simple layout pages with large, dramatic panels are a tool. And you used it right. You don’t need to feel sorry.
Bet their tokens don’t work.

Why have only 1 obstacle when you can have several? xD
Unrelated, so separate post: I found a new webcomic called ‘Monsters under my bed’ xD
http://monstersundermybed.thecomicseries.com/
Well well well… I’ll keep my eye on it.
For some reason this reminds me of melvin and the door from yogtas

Another door, HAHAHA! That’s a good one ^^
This looks very “Final Boss”-ish
Let’s say that this door won’t be opened very easily.
Nor, I expect, will Nightmare.
