So, what is their relationship exactly, Brandon. Mortis and Moonlight, I mean… Is it just sex or is it really love at first sight?
Their interactions in this page suggest to me that this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. That, combined with a few comments from Brandon, leads me to suspect that they’re just sex buddies rather than in a true romantic relationship.

Alright, I’ve been holding back my thoughts on this guy since he first showed up. Mortis is on the fast track to become First Reaver, right? Fair bet that such a high rank is preceded by OTHER leadership-type roles first. First time he sees Shadow, he has a serious, sad expression on his face that puzzled Shadow. Possibly a look of regret? Then when Mortis meets her again, he tries, awkwardly, to strike up conversation and see how she’s doing, and then gets SUPER aggressive when Terminus speaks about her in a gross way.
I don’t think Mortis is one of Shadow’s parents. But I’d bet my last dollar that he knew them, was friends with them, maybe even commanded them, and might be responsible for them not being in her life. Good guy with guilt.
He’s the second in command of the Brotherhood, so he’s next in line to become High-Father. Being a First Reaver isn’t so much a totem pole rank, it’s more of a class on it’s own. Elite.
Ah, right. *High-Father* is what I meant.
