#142 “The Talk”
So, hear me out. Call me crazy, but I think Tim’s Mom Ruth is actually Lady Blackheart!
I mean, she has the same mole, and her hair is similar… and their special text colour is the same! Also, what other Noxian wears high-heeled shoes? Nobody. They don’t wear shoes! And Also, also: Moonlight went to call Blackheart “R-” that one time in the bath… and Thomas calls her ‘Vice Admiral Ruthless!’ when they were roll playing. I think that’s it though…
So yeah, that’s my theory. What do you guys think?! 😉
And stay tuned: There’s a bonus page coming up very soon (a few hours from now!) to make up for all the bi-weekly nonsense lately.
I KNEW IT! YESYESYESYESYES!
So… I’m starting to think that human-monster relations aren’t quite as uncommon as I was initially led to believe. Just a feeling.
The question that should be asked is how common is monster -Monster relations
oh boy…..this should be good!
And here you just blow it. just like that. no big reveale in an epic fight scene or last breath confession. just boom, nude Ruthie aka Lady Blackheart aka Ruthless.
On a side note: I had to review a couple of pages to realize that it’s still halloween for them. “later that night”, while we were jumping from sideplot to sideplot to sideplot over ten pages got me a bit out of the loop.
Sorry it wasn’t an epic world-saving reveal. I totally blew it! XD
Actually, since the text you wrote below the comic starts with “So, hear me out. Call me crazy, but I think…”
(It occurs to me that while you listed several things, you also left out some things. Like they have the same-color “special effects text” in the comics. Like, maybe they have the same scent, to be noticed by anyone (like Shadow) who has encountered both of them. Like the strange way Ruth “knows stuff”.)
But you could still be wrong, after all! Now, if instead what you wrote had been an entirely declarative statement….
Nope you don’t say that tim Mom Ruth could really be Ruthless then. Color oh so surprised then by oh so shocking news then it seems.
Was it intentional that Ruth looks like Mai Valentine from Yugioh in this panel? the sleeves kinda give it away.
If Ruth is also Lady Blackheart, well, she knows how to change her appearance. Why pick just a couple of different appearances? Shall I go out on a limb and compare appearances to clothing? That is, if a woman had access to as many different appearances as she (often) has clothes, I’m pretty sure they’d all get used.
Wow.. I didn’t even realise that one until you pointed it out…
Thanks!
BINGO!
“tell him what he’s won Johnny!”
“Well Pat he’s won an all expenses paid trip to the BOIN-BOIN RESORT!”
(Let’s see who’s sharp enough to get THAT reference)
Hehe, I got both references. Yep.
If all this has been happening I can’t wait to see what Tim and shadow are up too
Getting hopped up on sugar and watching “Dream Warriors” I’m betting.
hmm and here I was going to try give a fake surprise response this week
I could have sworn we were discussing this back around page 65 and on facebook so I don’t think there are many to be shocked by this
Big City Miss Ruth Ann…
I’m shock! Shocked to find there is gambling in this casino!
*hands you file of pinup art* Your winnings, sir.
Umm… but wait. If Darkheart is Moonglow’s sister, that would mean Tim’s mom is Shadow’s aunt. Gross.
Shadow is not Moonlight’s real daughter, she is “adopted” into the guild by default, for lack of a better term because she has nowhere else to go. “Taken under her wing”, would be more apt.
Although we may have a clue as to her paternal side.
Ah. It’s been awhile. hehe
This is guud.
LOL no wonder this page came out so fast, you’ve just been dying to put this one out there, havent you Brandon?
Ah well, onto the next mystery: Which background character is the authors self insert? Its like playing “spot Stephen King”
I’m shocked, shocked i say, shocked 😛
Cool comic man, keep it up
nah. this is a bait and switch, there’s more going on here than you’re letting on
