Well, I TRY and keep a continuity with what I put on his shelves and in what order… though there’s not much there yet. Perhaps he’ll get more stuff over time.

*Shrugs*. Whatever you want, Brandon, you’re the author. You and your characters shouldn’t be influenced by the rest of us. Just let your characters act the way they (and not even you) want to act.
Oh, trust me, I have a plan for them and am sticking to it.
These hypothetical suggestions are nice though, they give me some perspective on things people might like to see. Doesn’t mean it changes anything in the end though.
It also amuses me to hear where other people might take the characters themselves. I’ve seen some wacky theories so far!

Yes, that’s true; however there’s a bit of a species barrier that they are both very mindful of.
I should stress that while they do develop and harbour some strong, strange, and secretly troubling feelings towards one another over their life growing up together, their official status to which they regard each other is ‘Best Friend’ for almost the entirety of that time. It is not until they are much older that they take their first step beyond that line and become lovers.

He does not receive them for quite a while. We haven’t even met half the characters yet.

Don’t be such a downer man. Lots of great webcomics start out only as once a week but as the author becomes better able to produce it usually the artist will increase the updates. Besides that this supposed to be a comment section with a sense of humor. *says this while dangling candy just out of reach of PotDad*

Seems reasonable to me… *grins* Gotta drag this thing out as long as possible, because it DOES have an eventual end point. You know, eventually. I certainly don’t intend to write many stories about geriatric grandpa Tim and his Monster wife, Grandma [REDACTED] as they get into arguments like:

“What keys? Where are you going?”
“Owing? No, I already paid the taxes, dear.”
“Of course I can hear, I’m not deaf you know!”

Although, that’s not to say there mightn’t be a next generation of characters by then. Who knows?
Actually, by 2 years I would love to be up to 2 pages a week (which I could probably do now, technically) that is, if I didn’t want any sort of life outside of Monster.

I’m just not big enough of an entity as of now to require multiple admins and other custodial folks to look after any forums I may create. I already bounce around to several venues promoting the comic the best I can. The only thing I’d really like to ask of anyone is to spread the word to like-minded friends and such. Word of mouth and all that.
I’m not TELLING anyone to do it though, I mean, I think I’m already getting a decent sized crowd for a comic only just beginning so I’m pretty happy and thankful for even this much.

A lot of sites use disqus for their comment sections as they are easy to moderate and aren’t hard on the users that load the site. https://disqus.com
I would suggest that you look at the comment sections of spinnerette http://www.spinnyverse.com you can assign mods, ban trouble makers and more. It’s sort of like a social network built into your site.
It doesn’t seem much different from what I already have honestly…. and this is pretty easy to moderate, so far at least.
I don’t think I really need a forum system, or a social network on my actual site quite yet, as there’s only a handful of people who actually leave comments regularly. It’s only the past few pages since the comments section has exploded in numbers (mostly due to just 2 fellows!)

I’m find out now that your monster girl, Brandon, have Four Fingers. Where I watching, that I miss such interesting fact. Then here comes my question. Did her kind (race) have 4 fingers or maybe she is special (half monster, half human) genome one (Mendel Crossover Rule etc.)????
By the way her ears are resemble me of syrena (mermaid) ears, which I see in one manga called “Monster Musume” 😉 :

All of her race have only 4 fingers (3 fingers & 1 thumb)
Her parentage is a mystery, even to her. We’ll get into that territory later on though.
And yes, her finned ears aren’t exactly an original design or anything, neither are her claws, or almost cartoonishly apropos devil tail (although it is quite stylized in my opinion.)
I see I’m not the only who reads Monster Musume, was actually considering suggesting it to folks to help pass the time between updates.
