Literally no one has any real right to be mad or embarrassed.
Marcy doesn’t even know who Shadow is, and it’s not like Tim can tell her.
Due to the time jumps, I’m not sure Tim even perceives Shadow as liking him or being in a relationship. Mostly a bunch of flirting and unrequited exchanges.
Still, the chapter refers to a “push” and it is likely that her jealousy at seeing the exchange is what ends up leading to them realizing their actual feelings.
I disagree. There’s a little thing called consent that I was aware of even before that age…
I will admit, there are a lot of people who only learn about consent through personal mistakes, or the mistakes others make with them. My schools didn’t talk about it with the boys, and my understanding is the talk with the girls only talked about it from the perspective that some guys wouldn’t respect it, so a lot of girls didn’t seem to understand that it was ever important for *them* to get consent until they messed up.
I had the feeling reading this that while it was possible Tim didn’t understand what was going on with him and Shadow, he was at least interested enough in taking things that direction with shadow that he wouldn’t be interested in what Marcy had to offer.
That having been said, it doesn’t matter whether we have seen enough evidence of Tim and Shadow’s relationship to know if they have made any commitments to each other. What matters is if they have.
That said, this isn’t something that is to the point of being drama worthy, IMHO. Marcy’s young enough for a lesson in consent to be plausibly worthwhile, and it should just be a matter of Tim explaining that he didn’t, and while he isn’t upset with her, he wants it to not happen again, as he has interests in another.
Of course, this is a web comic, so there will definitely be a lot of drama over this.
I am wondering if Marcy will later want to do something umm… sensitive, and Shadow will get so pissed that she might try to kill her. But I suppose that Marcy might not get to wanting to do that unless she and Tim start dating. And Tim Might feel so pressured that he would break. And then Shadow would have to make an appearance as a person, doing that “girlfriend from Canada” thing, but for realsies.
hay every one my job is on the line spread the word about article 13 plus if article 13 is passed in Europe there is a pretty good chance that this comic could be forced to END with out an ENDING and if any one reading this is in Europe so please spread the word in Europe. and to any one who is carious about what article 13 is. then please watch. Film Theory: All Your Memes Are DEAD! (Article 13) on youtube
Why would it be forced to end? Brandon owns the copyright to his own work, and evidence (spelling, for one) suggests he lives in North America, not Europe.
Her shirt and shorts are pink and blue, respectively, as well?
If I see any more support for my headtranon that started forming in #153-#154, I might almost think it’s intentional!
It was at that moment Tim knew he fucked up
