Why do people care so much about being normal?
Largely it’s a subconscious desire. The human species is successful because it’s very social, and aggressive. The brain says there is safety and comfort in the tribe. To not be of a tribe feels unsafe. To blend with a tribe, that is what it is to be ‘normal’, at its core.

I wasted much of youth, trying and failing at being normal.
When I was only one of, all day, Freshman and Sophomore math classes to solve a puzzle that teacher put on blackboard, I just earned scorn of peers.
Teacher said I could think outside the box. I thought it just simple.
