So this was 7 years ago from the current day teenage Tim right? So why is there a picture of teenage Tim on the wall? Just something that popped out when I looked at it. Brandon, since Ruth in Noxe (under cover) and has no scent what’s the story behind Shadow’s collection of Tim’s used socks.
One thing I know about used socks is that they definitely DO have a scent! Stilton. Limburger, Roquefort and similar cheeses are known as “sweaty-foot cheeses” for a very good reason.
So, what’s the story about Tim’s disguised or hidden scent and THE SOCKS?
Tim has a scent that Shadow is wired to pick up on, Ruth does not.
So, Tom’s contribution to his son’s genetic make-up is (at the least) his scent.

Wait, if Ruth is ruthless, which has been established, than why was she the one harping on the lost sock in the beginning. Wouldn’t a no Ian understand the needs of a fello noxian? (Shadow)

Because Ruth/Ruthless is Tim’s mother and therefore ENJOYS torturing him about things she know he has no control over. Remember that scene where Ruth & Tom were just outside Tim’s bedroom while Tim & Shadow were hiding inside?

Is there a difference between a noxian voice and a human voice? If so what exactly is it?
There isn’t any difference between them in any meaningful way. I’d like to think maybe they could have a bit of a specific accent, but couldn’t tell you what it was.
I have a theory. Considering the Noxian’s all have sharp front teeth, maybe all they speak with a slight lisp? I also like to think they have a somewhat posh accent(somewhat like English/British)?
Not in the frequencies audible to humans, apparently. If there are supersonic or subsonic differences, I’m sure Brandon will let us know when (or before) it becomes relevant to the story.
Basically explains her obsession with Tim’s socks as I said before awhile back.
