Well, Tim has an idea what happened, but the real conundrum now is how to protect Shadow’s existence without getting Marcy even more upset.
That said, I’ve been the victim of pranks like the one he implied in the past; and I got in trouble every time because there was no way to prove my innocence, and it was my word against theirs. (Yes, “theirs”; when the popular kids all vouch for each others’ stories, what hope does the class outcast have?)
But Tim, you didn’t create that red-headed monster; she was already a monster! You might have unleashed her, though . . . .
She wasn’t leashed. All Tim did was point her.

As a long-time cat owner, my best guess would be something to the tune of “Oh, those strange, silly two-leggers…they are so lucky we’ve domesticated them.” ;P
‘The authorities’ (as zefrank would say) are so stupid that they don’t understand us. Whenever we say ‘me NOW,’ they think we’re saying ‘meow.’

If I had to say anything about that one line “I thought it was my cat at first” because we all think first about cats whispering and not the fact that the cat stole the scissors and suddenly had the opposable thumbs to use them. But yeah that was the panel I was waiting for. Her reactions and Tim saying that she stole them were all I needed. Though I do feel bad for Marcy, hope things go better for her than getting another near hair cut.
