• Or have found one who met a misadventure while on Earth side. Whether mad scientists with bad BS skill were involved or not.
• Or have one (presumably an inert casing) given by the Noxians themselves, perhaps for this very purpose. Open contact is prohibited, but this doesn’t mean there’s no sanctioned restricted contact.
Its a male aegis so I’m going to assume that the doctor isn’t a Noxian herself. Maybe she’s part of some secretive organizations that tracks Noxian interaction with humans. 🤔🤔🤔
I first checked this webcomic when I woke up to use the bathroom. I just woke up properly and dreamt about this story. There were lots of aspects to the dream but the main part was that the authorities on both sides had an arrangement to keep each other informed of events. It wasn’t on the fine scale that they knew everything but the killing of a High Father would definitely be on their radar. As well as that, someone finding the key and location of the core.
As to why, the obvious answer is that it’s part of a peace treaty.
I did have a second dream (fell asleep again this morning*) and had another dream but that assumed that Terminus was free and Anna is a risk taker. Neither of those seem likely.
Pretty sure Brandon has already stated that Anna is not pregnant – what she said to The Termite was a giant tease… which she then confessed to on the next page!
I don’t want to be that guy who says impossible about a subject he knows very little about. But if this happened to significant enough extents to be detectable this early on, it would seem to be very unlikely for mothers to ever bear children with incompatible blood types. And yet, this happens.
That having been said, there’s certainly materials that are transmitted between the mother’s blood and the baby’s blood, or babies would all die.
It seems unlikely that a medical professional would use the word ‘type’ to describe the presence of any of those materials, because the medically savvy people I’ve known normally use ‘blood type’ to discuss transfusion compatibility, and generally very little else. If hemoglobin and hemocyanin or chlorocruorin or similar substances are not transfusion compatible, then they exclusively use ‘blood type’ to talk about transfusion compatibility.
(I’ve not heard of anyone ever testing this. It doesn’t seem like we’d have too many instances of people thinking, “OMG, patient X needs an immediate blood transfusion or they’ll die, and we’re out of their type of blood! Quick, help me get a needle in this mollusk so I can draw some of its blood…” It also seems unlikely that the antibodies that had issues with blood from other people would be OK with blood from completely different sorts of creatures. That said, it seems plausible that just the oxygen-carrying molecule alone might be OK. I could imagine some super-affluent Trekkie funding some tests to see if they could get green blood, but other than that, it doesn’t sound promising enough to really invest in. That said, there’s a lot of research done regarding things that I wouldn’t think sound promising enough to really invest in, and probably a similar amount of it turns out to be worthwhile to research I do think is promising enough to invest in, because that’s really not my field.)
My hypothesis is that there are humans (the government? a secret organization? how knows, but secret organization sounds more interesting for the narrative) that know about the noxians and the are searching methods to activate a previous lost aegis (maybe more than one).
And they have access to blood banks to search if there is some human, maybe by mutation, maybe by some kind of past hybridization, that have the required blood type to activate the aegis.
She cant be a secret Noxian cause its a male aegis, maybe shes working with the government to open the gate to Nox, and use its recources for lots of things.
I’m going to guess that the world of Nox is actually located inside the Earth’s moon, based on the Hollow Moon theory. It would also explain why so many Noxian names refer to the moon(Midnight, Moonlight, Eclipse, etc.).
The only way to have gotten those is to have interacted with the clothing of another Noxian.
HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Perhaps she’s married to the supplier of said aegis?

*OK, this afternoon as it was shortly after 12.
Cue the men in black…
Or perhaps they’re both bonking the same noxian… if that’s the case is mr philander’s luck gonna hold and they’re gonna be into it?
Ha-Haah! *Will Smith laugh*
Seems fishy to me… I feel the next page will be quite hard for her…
No, probably not!
Oh yeah? What do you know? Lol
These scientists know about the Nox and want to study her because she’s pregnant?
Pretty sure Brandon has already stated that Anna is not pregnant – what she said to The Termite was a giant tease… which she then confessed to on the next page!
I actually never confirmed one way or the other. She WAS just teasing Terminus during those pages.
Besides of the aegis, nobody ask for the blood thing?
Coincidence? I think not!
Maybe Anna is pregnant after all. In a pregnancy, there is a exchange of blood between the mother and the fetus.
…

Maybe Noxian security is just crap.
Roll an insight check!
… can’t or won’t? 🙂
Damn, this doctor looks really pretty. Did I miss the mention of her name?
Nope, it has not been mentioned yet.
I had a look at the cast page. Is her name Grace Dobbs?
Grace Dobbs is Tim’s friend’s mother.
She has a name, but it has not been mentioned yet. I’ll give you a hint: It starts with a P.
Pamela? Petunia? AHA! PRISCILLA!
She cant be a secret Noxian cause its a male aegis, maybe shes working with the government to open the gate to Nox, and use its recources for lots of things.
I mean… Nox has the same resources Earth would already have… Anyway. XD Maybe!
Then Nox is on earth! I believe :3

She doesn’t want to admit that it is a Noxian vibrator.
It’s a tool of many uses!
Looks like more people know about Nox than the Noxians might think.
Well, they do scare people nightly… so everyone they scare knows SOMETHING is up, just not what. They can’t ALL be crazy, right?
And, given Anna’s comments to Terminus, some people may be attracted to those that scare them?
Scary stories have probably been around since humans first spoke and there has to be a reason why the Horror genre is so popular.
I believe the hu-mon term is “thrill”. ;]
