They aren’t connected to Terminus, I can say that much… and I suppose I’ll go ahead and squash that serial rapist theory while I’m at it. I don’t need that in people’s heads!

To be fair they just injected her with a drug and are likely going to abduct her and hold her against her will. they are pretty awful people.

Rape is not something you put in a story, unless you are prepared to deal with the consequences correctly, at least that’s how I see it. This story has no room for it.
Penny (“The Big Bang Theory”) starred in her MAJOR film “Serial Apeist” and the sequel “Serial Apeist 2”.
That assonance always resonated in my mind, and that’s why I went there.
Could be Noxians tracking down and eliminating Humans who know about them.
The menacing guy in the doorway does appear to be wearing an aegis.
Wonder if they have a cover story prepared to throw friends, family, her employer, etc off the trail.
Employer? Isn’t she still student? Also, possibly minor, which leaves very short list of possible cover stories available to keep her from her legal guardians.
Nah, she’s in her 20’s. She was trying to apply for a university course though.

It just reads people. The glow is there just to show you [the audience] it’s doing something.

But… evil (shadow government – X Files style) or protectors (Men In Black style)?
I would be ok if that question remain open until the ending. Specially if there is a secret pact between even more factions.
For example, a faction of one human organization (MIB-like ) was secretly creating an alliance with some noxians (like Mortis – it could be the secret working project) to understand the core.
So Terminus could be just a random accident that mix into bigger plans just by coincidence.
I’m mostly sure that your story, Brandon, it doesn’t go under this plot, but it is a good idea to imagine even a bigger picture of the whole imaginary world and while the main plot is self-contained and it doesn’t need nothing more, the story and the small clues glimpse to a bigger universe that could be opened totally just at the end of the story so while your plot is completed, the readers are hungry for more.
I like the detail on how the back of her tanktop is folded.
Little details like that are marks of a great artist.
Does anyone else think the shadow in the last panel looks like its flipping us off?

But I’m curious was the lure of ‘something odd about her blood-work’ a lie? Cause as far as I know… frequent sex does not affect one’s blood, save for natural hormonal contents of course or perhaps STD’s but that a bacteriological or viral infection. How would having sex with a noxian leave anything in her blood to be identified?!?
