I might’ve taken the ligntning bolt on Tim’s shirt as a Captain Marvel reference, if it hadn’t’a been blue in the better-lit entries earlier…
It’s actually the symbol for my fake comic company ‘White Thunder Comics’ from back when I was a young teen and drawing these old (decidedly crude) comics that never went anywhere or saw the light of day. I’d slap that symbol up in the corner of the covers, pretending I was like Marvel or DC. LOL I just had to put a call back, now that I’m doing an actual ‘good’ comic.
In fact, I plan on adding a few more references over time, but for the most part they’ll be inside jokes no one will understand except a few (maybe even only one other person) might get a chuckle out of.
It’s a shame I couldn’t comment the last page before this one came in, but it’s always good to see that it continu! I wonder what he have in mind.
