Can she say no? If so what would happen? Also with him rejecting Nightmare like that what’s stopping her from telling everyone what he did or stabbing him in the back literally? I’m guessing he has some reason for wanting Shadow but treating Nightmare like that could easily come back and bite him in the ass
he’s not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.
Also just want to add. How hilarious would it be if Shadow was like, “OH…thank you for all the long fancy words there Teri but no, I’m good single. You can let go of my hand now…also why is your hand so sticky?”

And personally I feel really bad for Nightmare.. she is not unlovely in appearance, and she is just a rival of Shadow because shadow is so cute and ‘she’ realizes it even though Shadow seems unaware of her own beauty.. but honestly.. Nightmare deserves {any woman in the same situation to be pointedly honest} better treatment! No one deserves to have their emotions played with like that! Terminus is officially EVIL he hurt someone who was truly as close as she could get to being in love with him.. just out of hand. He cares nothing for anyone but himself.
Nightmare is an accomplice to the murder of the High Father, as well as the physical assault and kidnapping of Mortis. Nightmare and Terminus both deserve nothing but to receive whatever sort of punishment the High Mother deems adequate for those crimes.
Yeah she’s far from a saint herself. Dunno why sunphoenix was defending her. I mean I get it. Terminus is a dick, but it’s not making me feel for Nightmare as much as it would otherwise.
Murder implies intent. They framed innocent man under a threat, tried to hide it, struggled with the guy, who died and there were two accomplices. So it’s a pretty serious charge, but it’s not exactly murder per say. Sadly they’ve been dumb enough to also burn the bridges on their own defense later on by claiming that they KNOW that the framed person killed the other guy and not that they ASSUME so because they seen him. Then they could have plead about double standards later on when the whole thing would be revealed since “you were so willing to believe that he didn’t do it, but show us none of the same doubt. That is why we were forced to hide his death and frame another person, you lot were already operating on presumption of guild towards me and Nightmare even before he died.” And so on. Not very technical, but we don’t know their laws and it plays on appeal to feelings so it might stop a lynching mob at least.
