That’s insane, I was about to watch Ghostbusters just exactly 2 hours before this was posted (then got a phone call).
It’s been on my mind for obvious reasons, but it is a little thematic to what’s going on!
No, I mean, if I hadn’t had that call then I’d have finished the movie exactly to see this comic bringing it up. It would’ve been a very eerie coincidence.

Wait a sec, how does she have a smart phone? Tim and Shadow supposedly met as kids in the late 80s/early 90s, and now they are in high school, so probably only ~10 years have passed. Not enough for smartphones to exist yet.
And Tim works at his father’s film developing shop as an adult. And these days only some ‘elite’ photographers use films. That’s a fair bit of anachronism right there.
I don’t recall setting a date, ever, beyond it takes place AFTER the 80’s. Besides, Tim has a PS4 in his room in some shots.
Tim seems to be having an easier time handling his problem than his Noxian girlfriend.
