Throwback to chapter one, especially page 23.
Timothy out here practically promising to Shadow he’ll keep her identity safe.
And you’re telling me he now throws away the foundation of their friendship because of peer pressure?
Bruh that’s disappointing.
*grabs popcorn*
But I’ll allow it.
Your references are Pages 216-218 (and also later) where both Craig and Marcy are monstering Tim about “HER” and he agrees to betray Shadow’s confidential existence.
I mean….she cut the girl’s hair with his scissors, and if he doesn’t now tell her the truth, there’s a very real possibility he gets charged with that, which is legally assault. I think that trumps childhood promises.
It’s only PROOF that Marcy had his (marked) scissors.
Did she have his permission, or not?
Only Tim can say.

Q: Well, Mr Newton, did you explicitly give per, ision for Ms. Weaver to take your scissors and have the in her possession in her personal space, her bedroom?
We already know Tim and Shadow end up together in the future, but damn.
I’m still hopeful that Tim has some secret underlying plan to get everything cleared up, because right now it looks like he’s throwing away his friendship, and using Shadow just so he can get himself out of trouble.
Well, I’ve been following this comic for a long time and every time I get more involved. I hope that Tim will not behave like an idiot and he really understands what he is doing. He has a plan, right?
I’m kinda thankful that we know they get together in the end, otherwise I’d be even more sad right now 😭 I want Tim and Shadow to be happy but Tim is blowing it.
Tim’s demeanor here is a bit different than I would have expected. I thought he was just planning to introduce them all, but “it certainly can’t hurt, especially after what is about to go down” makes it clear that he knows Shadow is gonna be pissed, and also that he doesn’t really care. Or at least he thinks that pissing her off is an acceptable cost for whatever he’s trying to do here.
I think the previous comment about Shadow stealing his scissors was spot on. I think Tim took that much harder than he let on, and reasonably so–she stole his scissors, assaulted one of his classmates, and then left the scissors for the classmate to find. She totally framed him for assaulting the classmate, and while we know it was an accident, he doesn’t know that. Plus, assaulting someone while they sleep because you are jealous is in no way a cool thing to do.
Shadow screwed up big time, much worse than she realized, and Tim, I think, is trying to teach her a lesson: this is the very real person you attacked, and this is what can happen if you start going around attacking people.
I mean, look at Tim sitting there, cool as a cucumber. Dude knows what he’s doing.
> but “it certainly can’t hurt, especially after what is about to go down” makes it clear that he knows Shadow is gonna be pissed, and also that he doesn’t really care.
Which is why. (see the link) ;]
They’re available—on Patreon — to Brandon’s faithful subscribers and patrons.
That means we pay for his shoelaces and some of his pencils and we get to see, and comment upon, pages in progress.
I see the same names here commenting on the colourd pages too.
Just realized, it could have been worse–at least Shadow took the time to get dressed after her last scene. Not that she’d be embarrassed about the nudity, but Tim would have some ‘splaining to do.

Pressure to do what?

Always expect the goofy to win over the serious. Arguing over the semantics of the situation is rather moot when it ends in a joke.`
You guys are just playing yourselves.
If that’s either a remonstration or a critique, then you left out a preposition in your fial sentence (Hehehe)
{It’s joke, see!}
final (typo)
(sigh) The point of this question was whether the previous poster notices the obvious contradiction when trying to answer much the same, or… not. :]

No hair was cut by anybody.
It was considered but not done.
No assault occurred.
Though, the fact that Marcy found his scissors in her bedroom is something that could be used as proof of harassment.
It’s only PROOF that Marcy had his (marked) scissors.

Tim might not have a solid plan… but I do!
You need to add a maniacal laugh after that sentence.
“Tim might not have a solid plan… but I do! MWAHHAHA! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!”
See? It so much better.
Do you REALLY want to encourage Brandon’s latent maniacal tendencies?
You mean he doesn’t have them already?
So disappointing…
We gotta do something about that. All the good cartoonists like Tezuka Osamu, Matsumoto Leiji and Mizuki Shigeru have maniacal tendencies.
And some works (like Girl Genius) would be simply impossible to write without those.
Very true…
A writer who’s not a bit looney is just another brick in the system’s wall.
Welp. Tim is certainly gonna have some explaining to do.
…please let this end peacefully. 🙁
There is going to be drama.
Please let this end in nudity!
LOL
We know it does. Eventually.

I had the same thoughts since Shadow stole those scissors. She kind of brought all this on herself and gave Tim a harder time that he didn’t deserve.

Well, to be fair, this is exactly how Shadow introduced Tim to Midnight; and for the very same reasons. Turnabout is fair play.
i wish there’s uncolored parts that we can see before the colored part but yet again no one’s gona pay attention to the colored parts if that happens

Shadow’s sooooo gonna kill him XD
I haven’t followed this comic for a while, so shouldn’t new pages come out every week?
Nope, every two weeks for like the past year or so. Trying to prevent burnout.
Oh, ok then. That would be bad for everyone
Not to rush, but when’s the next page coming out? If something came up and got in the way though then forget I said anything.
Just realized, it could have been worse–at least Shadow took the time to get dressed after her last scene. Not that she’d be embarrassed about the nudity, but Tim would have some ‘splaining to do.
an interesting birthday present that I unwrapped almost two weeks late, but I love it!
