I’m still so terrified that this is gonna create the “misunderstanding trope” that needlessly pads out the plot and is made worse by the fact that we know they get together
At this point, I’m more worried this will somehow NOT create any “misunderstanding” because seriously they did everything they could to make it end badly. It’s one bad decision after another. They should be SHOWN it was bad decision instead of plot magically fixing it.
I would prefer if we DIDN’T go down that route, because it’s a stupid fucking trope, talk it out and admonish him but DO NOT go on with stupid shit like “Oh, fuck you then! I’ll just go off to get with what’s his face, and pad out this plot more!” It’s been done to DEATH, it’s stupid, it’s rediculous, people hate it, so SUBVERT IT.
Only angle I can see here is something like Tim shouting “We’ve BEEN paying!” and go into how Shades actions have harmed them, and everyone deserves at least some answers. That might get through to her. Might.
Other than that, theres an enraged trapped female with claws, someones losing an eye.
I canNOT see how any of Shadow’s actions have harmed them” (assuming that by “them” you mean craig and Marcy).
Craig got exactly what he deserved for being a bully – a warning.
Marcy suffered only suspicion – Shadow did nothing to her, other than appearing uninvited in her bedroom and leaving Tim’s pair of scissors.
How have either of them been “harmed”?
Tim has suffered the only real harm and that was only to his reputation at school.
That won’t matter anywayin another couple of years.
Shadow made it look like Tim snuck into a classmates bedroom with a pair of scissors–that isn’t “nothing”. She framed him for a rather distasteful, and illegal, act that could have gotten him in serious trouble. And she did it because she feels proprietary towards Tim in a way that Tim may or may not reciprocate.
There is no acceptable evidence (evidence – fr. Latin “that which can be seen”) that ANYBODY was in Marcy’s bedroom. what she has is equally “evidence” that she has stolen Tim’s scissors.
Shadow hasn’t “framed” anybody either because that requires intent.
We know, because we saw it, that Shadow forgetfully left those scissors when she decided (on Middy’s remonstrations) NOT to give Marcy a military haircut, with eyelash trim.
Marcy has only a vague suspicioon, while drowsy and not fully conscious that SOMEbody was there. She saw nobody and has no evidence.
No rational prosecutor could take that case to a court and any rational judge would laugh at it.
You’re correct in your penultimate sentence about Shadow’s &Tim’s feelings toward each other.
That has yet to play out.
We shall see (when Brandon chooses to show us.)
Not all consequences are legal, or even legal in nature. No one believed Craig, so he spent years with the reputation as the crazy guy, and all the social consequences that come along with it. From Marcys side, two people were in her room whispering while she was sleeping, with a sharp implement and unknown intentions. Thats not a recipe for sleeping well ever again.
And Tim? He made his preference clear that he wants a human girlfriend and Shadow has shown she is willing and able to chase those off, and as far as Tim knows, no one else knows about Nox yet, but does know they take secrecy deadly serious, so from his perspective he could easily end up like Craig or worse.
All true indeed (and accurately retold.) None of that is reason for some commenters to be blaming Tim and wishing him yo suffer.
I hope that Tim and Shadow achieve the state of bliss that Brandon has aleady shown us, without TOO mant unpleasant interruptions (like Craig and Marcy) but I doubt that is going to happen.
After all, we don’t know anything yet about who’s behind Anna’s kidnapping nor how it will affect our favourite couple.
Personally, I think she’ll target Craig and Marcie first (not necessarily in that order, either) before targeting Tim… so he might have a bit of time to talk Shadow down once she’s taken the edge off her anger.
I oce speculated that a satifactory solution wouls involve separated body parts adhering to the walls above eyelevel and serious splashes of blood across the furniture. Satisfactory from Shadow’s point of view, that is.
Tim, get more pizza while you can and start talking and thinking FAST1
So, now would be a good moment for Tim to say, ‘Ok, both, off of her’, come close and hug Shade. She’ll mos likely fight and scratch’im, but if he endures it as a man and just keeps her in a hug, that would both get him Shade’s sorry and cares and also those two respect. A man should no be afraid of bleeding a bit for his true love.
Shadow is already in a violently emotional state, (kill, maim, hurt).
Contradicting her claim is a very bad idea, especially by telling her the truth.
She doesn’t want to be truthful, she wants to be violently emotional and express that physically.
At this time the best advice for Tim is: “Don’t speak, don’t move, don’t draw her attention to yourself” Tou may still survive.
Tim, start apologizing to Shadow, she is your girlfrind for Pete’s sake.
He hasn’t admitted that to himself yet. Shadow may think she is, but he tinks “she’s not even human”
Shadow is the one who needs to apologize, for stealing Tim’s scissors and cutting the other girl’s hair.
Shadow DIDN’T cut Marcy’s hair. She wanted to do it but Midnight taked her down.
She did leave Tim’s scissors in Marcy’s bedroom.

It’s probably going to end when Tim laughs himself into tears and hiccups.
Well, somebody ought to pay.
Alright Tim my friend, you better start talking and explaining fast!
well this is going to be interesting
Please tell me that was a Ghostbusters reference, both the get her and the rah!

Shadow is very clearly in the wrong here.

“Shadow, they told me they only wanted to sell you Girl Scout cookies!”
Tim seems to be giving serious thought to hopping out the window here… The question is how long would it 5ake them to realize he’d left
He may even be better advised to disappear ‘under the bed’ (with pizza, of course)
Tim, think good thoughts. A very angry Shadow is coming for you.
Personally, I think she’ll target Craig and Marcie first (not necessarily in that order, either) before targeting Tim… so he might have a bit of time to talk Shadow down once she’s taken the edge off her anger.

Does Tim look like he is concerned?
Tim set this up, he knows what he’s doing.
Does he know how screwed he is?
a little bit too slow of a page… but deserves to be continued as soon as possible… if possible
So, now would be a good moment for Tim to say, ‘Ok, both, off of her’, come close and hug Shade. Is she his true love? I’m not convinced he feels that way yet.
Nor am I.
So now we get to wait a fortnight still totally worth it but I haaaaaate waiting
Tim: “YOU invented this move?! Nono. I invented this move. The very first time we met!

You just know that this ruckus is gonna cause Ruth to show up to see what is happening
Brandon’s already addressed that possibility over on the Patreon forum. (Meanwhile, don’t stop breathing)
And I take it the answer was: “Not gonna happen”?
What happens between Brandon and subscribers on Patreon …..
*shrugs* A simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ would’ve sufficed. The details of the discussion don’t interest me.
But “a simple yes or no” WOULD be a detail – an important detail
Given that this page looks like a beginning of a porn video, Ruth’s appearance might add a tag or two.
