Well, we know from the first comics either Shadow gets the hang of claws on flesh or Tim gets used to it.
Probably a bit of both.
That she got the hang of it not before Tim got some claw marks.
Given the way the other threads of the plot are heading, I dont think those marks came from Shadows hand. I suspect they come from a source with more terminal intent.
