There’s a fridge in their kitchen.
In that fridge (as in ALL fridges) there are cakes in several stages of completion, from batter to post-bakery.
Ruth as a devoted Mother, housewife & former Nox High Mother would be committed to keeping the instruments of celebration {cakes} on permanent stand-by.
It would have been the matter of seconds to whip out from that fridge, one of the prepared domestic delectables {a cake}, dot the iced surface with candles and lie in wait outside Tim’s bedroom door listening for the whimpers of ecstasy that signal the acivity is complete (for the moment).
Embarrassing?
Not a bit of it- it’s a moment for celebration. Have some cake!
The problem is moisture flow from warmer areas (surface of freshly introduced mass with huge heat capacity) toward colder (everything else) due to different equilibrium pressures.
Plain containment will only let the lost water condense closer, and possibly drip back (making a mix of dry and wet spots).
The obvious ways to prevent this are:
A: Block evaporation.
A layer of oil on top would do this. But of course it’s acceptable only if oil must be added later anyway. Not the general case.
B: Counter moisture loss to condensation with more vapor.
Could be crudely done with a lot more (enough that condensation does not reduce humidity much) wet stuff in the same sealed envelope, but it needs to be balanced, or there will be either drying or dripping. Also, this would give the heat pump a lot of additional work (unless you need to cool that other stuff anyway).
For the duration of the usual time needed to refigerate dough, all that is needed is to wrap the ball of dough in cling-film.
This would satisfy your circumstance A.
Bread and/or brioche dough may also be oiled as you say.
For longer-term storage, using a freezer, rather than the fridge may work too, but one starts to run into the problem of maintainng “freshness” (natural yeasts may start fermentation in stored dough) although some rural or ethnic specialty recipes DO encourage fermenting the dough. This would not be encouraged without experience and/or guidance from a practiced patissièr(re) (sp?).
In general, frozen dough should be thawed and used (or discarded) within 3 months.
Note further, certain cakes may use a batter rather than a dough. Such should not generally be frozen nor stored for longer periods, above 6-12 hours, especially if incorporating eggs.

One of Tim’s parents must have heard that, right?
Probably! 🤣
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruth is outside the bedroom door, holding a cake with lighted candles, waiting for them to finish.
This cannot be. I mean, if she wants to do this, at this point she is only starting to bake the cake, at most.

Hahaha. We may yet see her before this chapter is through. Will there be cake? Undecided. Haha
Cherries brisée would be appropriate.
Gawd I wish I had a girlfriend. I hate that I’m a single virgin!
Something tells me mom is so very proud.
That’s why the cake & candles.
Celebrations!
The word “honeymoon” has “honey” right there in it. More than half of the word, even. ;]
Refrigerating dough sounds like a bad idea. It will dry up.
There is a technique to prevent that, if you’re really interested?.

I came to this site to read a comic about supernatural humans and interdimensional shadow demons. I was not expecting this.
Can we stop talking about this? Haha It doesn’t even have anything to do with the comic anymore.
wow shadow on top that’s impressive
This reminds me of my first time with my ex…who also had her first time. In that it was nothing this good 😆
Sounds like she will be a happy screw. Good for her!
*happy shadow noices* and SEGGS BRUTAL!!!
Noxian women probably feel better than humans?
Certainly to Timmy.
Since Shadow’s his first there’s NO comparison.
shadows having fun
How about having Tim and Shadow watch Terminator?
They have something BETTER to think about just now.
Seriously I have to ask, what’s with all the questions about stuff that is so morbid or off the wall?
At least have the courtesy to make a kool-aid man joke
I have no idea what that might be nor how it could be relevant.
So, no.

I bet his parents heard that and are proud that their son is finally having his 1st time.
It only took 7 years but were finally at the good part
Whole comic is the good part
Hear! hear!
It may have been mentioned and I missed it, but Tim is going to have some very painful marks on his legs after what her claws are doing to them.
I bet it was like this when Tim,s parents 1st made love.
I think afterwards they,ll watch all the Star Trek and Star Wars ever made.
From what we have seen, with more cosplay.
Damn that’s hot.
Gawd I wish I had a girlfriend. I hate that I am a virgin who’s single. I hate my miserable life.
Sorry wrong strip. For wish fulfillment please go to https://jeaniebottle.com/
So… it only gets more intimate from here? I’m happy.
