Thomas needs to remember that he has to sleep with that woman and women (no matter their species) can be rather wrathful AND women don’t need as much sleep as men. (No, I’m not being sexist. Women are adapted to awaken whenever a baby whimpers.)

Not sure why Ruth feels they need to keep it secret that they know about Shadow. Ruth is everything to Thomas and he assumes that Shadow will be everything to Tim.
