I am waiting for the other shoe to drop when he realises that not only were they aware but they used her actual name. How could they possibly know that outside of eavesdropping, he wonders.
That’s the maturity starting to kick in. It’s going to be a real gut punch when he also finds out about how long they’ve known…and that the secret was kept, for what? More than 5 years? And why.

Oh Tim, I’m very certain they’re fine with it. More than fine. I’m pretty sure they can relate to your situation.
Some places are not as Puritanical as the US. Tim would be happier if he lived in one of them
This is all happening in a small town in Canada.
There is cross-border contamination.
If you would want to avoid that, you’re better to re-locate to the South Pacific.
Now when the logical side of that highly emotional teenaged brain finally catches up a few things will be quite obvious:
1. It means they somehow know about Nox
2. They are obviously okay with you two, they haven’t tried to stop you in all the years you’ve been hanging out. This also implies it’s likely they already knew who Shadow was on that Halloween, and they made it quite clear they were quite okay with her.
3. They’ve already met Shadow, see above.
4. What *should* happen now is you turn around and go talk all this out and find out the one thing you don’t have with all this Tim, the ‘why’ behind it. However I highly doubt that is how this will all unfold.
Turn around? Why? I would think he would already be on way back before the logical side “catches up”.
If you’re implying that ‘logic’ has a *long* journey before it catches up to all those raging emotions, I whole heartedly agree with you.

I don’t like it when the guy smells like someone else after sex, but if he smells like me, I wouldn’t mind.
That’s quite normal behaviour among vertebrates. Your cat or dog will use their own scent glands to claim territory or mask the scent of a rival.
The “target” gets scent-marked twice, which means a double-dose, which is what my friend was claiming.

Not sure if anyone’s asked this before, but for your ‘outdoor’ backgrounds do you use a slightly modded photo, or do you have some seriously ‘madskillz’ artistic abilities? (No insult if you’re modding a photo.)
