This would also mean Nightmare isnt just trying to get Shadow in trouble, she is trying to get her killed. But where was this reaction back when younger Shadow found her “better way”?

Loving that complication. We can really see how much Moonie has invested in this. She’s already had her relationship with her sister damaged, but now she fears she’s about to lose her child. That would make ANYONE lose their shit. And there’s so much about Noxian society, history, and culture that you haven’t told us yet…

So a Noxian woman who becomes High Mother gets Glowy Powers? What else do they get besides that and a butt ton of responsibilities?
Ruth implies the glow is related to “that old book” (#091). But then, Moonie was irritated by this mention and was not seen to even temporarily suppress the glow, ever, so most likely she screwed up during experimentation and gave herself perma-glow.
In their guild, only the High Mother has free access to the Magic Encyclopedia, per #094. Others presumably could be taught excerpts at her discretion. Possibly due to risks of such mistakes and/or being emboldened by access to magic disguise (which without much practice is far from perfect, see Shadow demonstrated during Halloween arc).
So the answer is “usually yes, at least legitimately”.
Now, whether Ruth actually became the High Mother (Shadow assumed so, but she had a point to make and neither confirmed nor corrected) or just stole one of the books…

The glow is just a magic spell. She could turn it off if she wanted to, but likes how it makes her look more powerful than she actually is.

1: do you know how long this comic plans to keep going for
2: will you make a sequel after
1. I have the chapters planned out, but not the exact page count…. so no I don’t have any idea how long it’s gonna take. Another 2 or 3 years at least.
2. No sequel. I have adapted the story so everything fits into one narrative now. I have OTHER ideas I’ve been planning to work on next.
This Novel literally broke my heart, then molded it back together. What a experience I was right there with them the entire time

Like this is good, real good, but 1 page in 2 weeks, with those plot twists and other stuff will take 10 more years to be finished, I know you probably can not speed the making process up(or you would in the last 7 years), but atleast try not to dog yourself into some plot twist that would look cool when done but will take ages to finish
The plot twists have already been mapped out, I am not adding them or making them up as I go. I just have to press on and get through everything.
So this has happened before ? Also if it has happened before, then shouldn’t she sense the familiar smell of her family members on this ?
We know Noxians smell a few things humans don’t (shadow mentioned this), but this does not mean even above-average nose is anywhere as good as a dog’s.
Hi Brandon, I’ve never read a comic in my 31 year old life. But when I started reading this, I was hooked! I love the whole story, the way you wrote it, the characters and no oversized boobs or dicks, it’s realistic somehow. It’s not too much sex/porn and not too little either, it’s perfect! I love it! I hope you will continue with this for a while. You are a wery good comic/book writer!
