1). We gonna dive into the lore of Nox and its inhabitants?(History, Culture, etc.)
2). How old are Ruth and Moonlight here?
3). Will we be seeing Highmother Nightshade?
Speculative non-definitive answers.
1 Probably not. They’re not essential to Brandon’s story arc.
2 Over 16- maybe two or more years over.
3 Not likely. She’s another character to create unnecessarily.
Brandon’s already done a wonderfully rich cast with minor characters, each distinctive and each not likely to be used again.
Ruth DOES look young in Panel 2.

My unhelpful reply was to point out how useless it is to ask a question with two possible answers.

Well, Brandon’s predicting ‘four fires’ for the next page so that’s more likely “being found out”.
Pregnancy can be hidden for a while.
I would think so too… but she likely did have to become high mother for at least a time, to get her hands on the magic book. It might be even more likely that she got the job but then got found out before she truly secured it (and was able to safely make changes) and a new hybrid in the oven is the kind of thing that would be hard to hide once she got the job. (i mean girls talk.. and that’s who the high mother is surrounded by.. lol not to mention their sense of smell might make hiding it impossible.)
Yeah I’m thinking it’s something else.
Nothing went wrong, she just had to make a choice:

So it’s a law that isn’t so fundamental that there is no realistic hope to change it? Or is Ruth just trying to shut Moon up, being hopeful or being naive? Brandon? Or is that a key part of the upcoming story?
I want to see some bath time for this version of them! 😀 lol
