I hope since Shadow is being so aggressive here, she tells Moon who Tim is.. Or who his mother is. I mean she HAS to know they know each other since at the VERY LEAST we know Ruth asked about her by name. (and a very informal one at that if i remember right) Moon might (hopefully) bring up the hybrid thing.. if NM told her that part.
I just hope this doesn’t push Moon to do something rash to try and protect her.. But it doesn’t seem like she could ever see that asshole as the lesser of “evils” in any case. Especially since now she has to suspect that he is a murderer.
Can’t wait till the full truth comes out about Tim to Moon. I mean it was good the original way but for “reasons” she never got to truly think about it or true commentary/reactions with Ruth or to meet Tim’s dad.. for “reasons”.. (that i hope is completely different this time)

Honestly, I feel like this would happen pretty frequently. We know Terminus is up to similar shenanigans, Ruthless of course as well, I wonder how much of this is kind of a “don’t ask, don’t tell” kind of thing. Shadow probably got singled out because she’s close to the matriarch.
The thing about stories like this is it always makes me wonder more about the wider world beyond the few people we see, and then I go tumbling down a rabbit hole of worldbuilding questions.
You have a point. We have already several examples, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that there’s a lot of interspecies couples out there in this story that we aren’t aware of yet.
If Brandon writes the stories of more Noxian males, we’re more likely to see more Noxian/human “interactions” as the boys creep into schoolgirls’ bedrooms {secretly, after dark}.
Or it’s a “fertile” source for fanfic.
We also know that hybrids take after the father. The ‘authorities’ could have a system in place whereby children with Noxian features are discreetly placed in the care of their brother/sisterhood… now, who does that remind me of!
