If you don´t mind me asking: how long do you sit on a single page?

Sit on it? Like do I finish it early, then hold it hostage until Sunday?
Or do you mean work on it?
I can say I safely work on each page from probably anywhere between 8-15 hours, depending on how many panels there are, and how many characters are standing in each panel.
I work almost all of Friday evening after work roughing out the page, adding the dialogue and speech balloons, and setting up the panel lines. Usually I find myself finishing this anywhere between 10pm to 2am, depending on if anything is giving me trouble.
Saturday I wake up and start inking and colouring the page which basically eats the whole day up. I do take breaks during meals and after completing each frame to watch some internet videos usually, then get back to work. This process usually takes me all day and when I’m finished, I immediately post the page up on my website, because usually it’s Sunday by then, which I’m sure several of you can attest to if you’ve been waiting for the new updates to come up.
I’ve done quite a few all-nighters since I’ve started this comic. Seen the sunlight out my window when I’m just turning into bed.
Basically I cram every page into a day and a half, or so.
Sundays I rest, and interact with you guys. Well, I do that almost every time I get a comment all the time, but mostly Sundays.
And doing these pages zaps your energy fast. If I do a comic page I make it B&W, color just isn’t for me as I always get it wrong and mess up my work. My brain always shuts down if I over thing the coloring.
Yeah, colour can be a pain, but the monsters are all different colours, so in black and white it gets harder to tell what’s going on.
I just have to say, I love that “holding it hostage till Sunday” line.it’s not very often that an artist responds to almost every single one of his fans comments. You sir are amazing to your fan base.
question, what videos do you like to watch on YouTube?

And as of now it’s fairly manageable to respond to everyone. If I get a million comments all at once, it becomes much harder.

I guess it´s true what they say about artists suffering for their art…
And thank you for going through all of that. I know you want to tell that story, but you also think about us, otherwise you wouldn´t be that punctual.
Indeed! I haven’t missed a week yet! XD Which actually surprises me a little at this point, considering just how much of a procrastinator I am at most things.
I guess it shows that I really do care a lot about this project. 🙂

And no, I’ve not made a cent off of this project. It’s purely for my own enjoyment, although I’m quite glad to see that there are lots of others who enjoy it too! As far as profit is concerned, T-shirts are a very strong possibility, I just have to design some first! XD
I’ve vaguely considered Patreon, but I don’t have much to offer people as incentives, other than the comic itself. I still have to think about it. I mean, I do have a full-time day job, so I’m not precisely strapped for cash or anything. I can already pay the rent. If that changes, we’ll go from there. A little extra couldn’t hurt I suppose. XD

T-shirt would be pretty good. Id probably buy pretty much anything with Shadow on it…
Some ideas here, if you’ll have them… For Patreon, maybe a $10 subscription gets you the page a day early? For the collective, when the monthly total reaches your desired point, make it two pages per week? High subscribers can get their own personal, one-off drawing of their character of choice autographed by you? That one is a little risky, because if you get a huge number, it would be a pain in the ass, so i would put it at a premium where kids cant really borrow the set amount from parents.
But just a donation option like the twitch streamers have would do.

Am I the only one wondering if Human and Monster genetics are compatible? If Tim and Shadow aren’t careful could she be giving birth to a half human/half monster baby? I’m not expecting any answers I’m just wondering aloud. Shadow is quite stunning as an adult but I am eager to learn more of the back story of this relationship

Well, it depends. In Vicky Wyman’s classic Xanadu series, dissimilar creatures like cats and foxes could crossbreed,but the offspring wouldn’t combine the genetics. That is, you wouldn’t get a fot or a cax, you’d get cats or foxes… but with odd colorations.
In this case using her rules, assuming crossbreeding is even possible, you’d end up with a child who looked either human or monster, not a combination of both.
And remember: If the monsters are human enough to enjoy sex with humans (and Shadow’s morning after remarks make it clear that they can), it would imply that there’s monster MEN on her side of the portal who could find human women attractive as well.
And I’m probably overthinking this massively…

I’m having trouble following
This isn’t exactly a riddle. I’m saying I want to slap the main character’s eyebrows off every time he makes that face, which is a lot. In my opinion, he just looks too smug for his own good and is a detriment to my enjoyment of this comic.
Well, that sucks for you I guess. That’s his design so the eyebrows stay. Sometimes he’ll make expressions you just won’t like. Sometimes he won’t. *shrug* Personally I just wouldn’t dwell on it so much.

You know, I’m surprised that no one has mentioned that in the first panel, Tim has the choice of looking at Shadow’s tail or her (apparently) bare behind… and is looking at her tail. THAT’S a sure sign that their relationship reached this level quite some time earlier…
He appreciates her on that level, but yes, at this point (and in this instance he just happens to be watching her tail) they are both well familiar with each other’s bodies.
