Quick reference – the crackhead that robs the 7-11 is a sociopath, the cop that arrests him is a psychopath.
Lot more of them than you think. It’s a large advantage for many professions to not care what other people think. Do what you think is right. But avoid mobs with torches and pitchforks, so fake it.

A psychopath is someone with no conscience. They can seem like a normal person if they choose to fake it. To be honest, I don’t see how some professions could even exist without them. Do you want to kill cows all day long, or dump thousands of baby roosters in a water bath all day long? Few do. Not a problem for these people.
Surgeons another group. They cut people for a living. I’ve heard that some drop out of medical school when they are forced to do this for the first time. Psychologists are apparently another profession where their patients dislike them. Cops … we’ve all had contact with them. Got to be hard on them as well.

A sociopath doesn’t care what society thinks. He/she will do whatever they think is in their best interests.They tend to advertise what they will do. I will rob this place or I will exterminate those people.
A psychopath is a totally different species, they are secretive, they are make plans, they carry out objectives. They are manipulative.
The sociopath and psychopath are very dangerous. But they are not as dangerous as a psychopath with sociopathic tendencies. The best examples of this combination are Adolf Hitler and Hannibal Lector.
Had not considered someone that is both! A standard sociopath does care, just not enough to change his behavior. It might make him feel bad, but hey, he’s got his fix.

No, your typical psychopath is one of the quiet ones. They are often loners and the US Military Establishment loves these people. If they can get to them in their formative years and if they can get them to drink the USAC or USMC koolade, they will end up doing black ops-often as assassins or spies.

I’d says yes. Verminous certainly has the ego and reality disconnect to think he’s a major catch. Then throw in the social advantages attached to becoming the king’s consort. I figure he got a major shock when Shadow declined. What I guarantee is that Nightmare was both flabbergasted and pissed when Wormy picked Shadow instead of her. None of which has anything to do with the contents of this page.
Some contributors seem to believe (wishful thinking) that Shadow has declined Wormy Termy’s offer.
We haven’t actually seen ANY decsion on Shadow’s behalf. On Page 240 she fainted on being asked (Panel 3). Didn’t say either yay or nay.

Moonie only disclaimed “setting her up” with that costume on Page 242 but also said “It’s far too late … now”. In Page 241 Moonie admits that the “Green Scoundrel’s” plan was the only one that worked.
My interpretation is that either No decision has been reached or that Shadow fainting on being asked is taken to be ACCEPTANCE of Wormy Termy’s offer.
I think that, when Brandon returns us to the scene, we’ll find that Shadow has been railroaded.

Ohhhh he’s dead. He’ll follow her plan as she sort of boxed his agenda, and Shadows. But when the timing is right, BAM! She will kill him and leave Shadow to take the rap. At least that’s what she’s counting on happening right now.
