He could race, but he might as well be running the wrong direction. He’s clever, but shown arrogance and over confidence. No matter where she lands she always finds a way to manipulate herself into a prime position. He always assumes he’s the smartest in the room while she runs laps around him.
Terminus might be clever in his way, but… he is still a fool with dubious (at best) social skills.
He got one good idea, and even managed to go somewhere with it, but got overexcited, so didn’t even think about it long and hard. As a result, his ambition runs down a path little better than “I will show them all! By conquering the world with my army of flying monkeys!”.

Is it a typo though? In both the “touche” and the “have ran”, that could be Brandon showing that Terminus is no where near as smart as he thinks he is.

You know terminus is not a bad for a vilain good plan and execution so far but he is young and like most young people he is arrogant and thinks with his dick wchich will soon come back to bite him in the ass
Could be wrong able this but looks like their lovers’ quarrel is over
His quarrel with HER might be. blokes tend to have their blow-up then put the disagreement aside, but Nightmare’s quarrel with Terminus wiil probably still be in her conscious mind for a least the next decade.
It will fester there until she takes what seems (to her) adequate revenge.
That may take years in planning and MORE years in execution but she will have to feel satisfied by it, or she’ll start again.
It will now be a race to see who stabs who first
That would be quick (and too merciful) for Nightmare.
I would expect she’d find something lingering and painful to administer, like a daily (or weekly) but undetectable drop of tunnel-snake bile in Terminus’s wine.
It would take a month of gradual “feeling of unease” , progressing to abdominal pain, then spasms, loss of control of bodily functions, loss of mental faculties and eventual slow decline into coma,
It would be a mercy to smother him with a plllow but she’ll watch over his final struggles and just before his last gasp – she’ll confess (but only to him) what she has done.
This is going to be a wild and terrible toxic relationship that destroys everyone and everything it touches.
It’ll be fun to watch. From afar.

I actually feel kind of bad for NM here. At least she knows about his plans with Shadow. I still have a small outside feeling that she is not going to forget this moment/scene here.
Can’t wait to get back to Tim and his parents.. Tim finding out about his nature and them finding out about Shadow.

She is so stroking his ego among other things below the belt, This one is dangerous because she’s a manipulator but she should be careful because she could be manipulated in turn and when that happens you know the old saying about a woman’s scorn is worse than hell, this lady maybe worse than that.
It is worrying that he isn’t the leas bit turned off after finding out Shadow and Tim got together. The worst case scenario was always that he didn’t view her as at least an interesting conquest or toy, but merely a temporary tool. Because his means that there is nothing that would “turn him off” of going after Shadow and likely trying to fuck her. I hope his doesn’t get rapey or forced cheaty/NTRy.. Nor even serious threats… We don’ want this becoming a korean relationship drama/hentai afterall. lol :/
