Cool, they seem like they *may* not be so bad.. Strengthening the possibility they are humanity’s half of some kind of agreement enforcement mechanism or something. It certainly doesn’t seem like the actions of a government org facing a completely unknown lifeform, let alone a hybrid pregnancy. We'[ll have to see though.
Things are getting interesting. Feels like a whole other side in this is fully being revealed.

Definitely no. The form does not follow this function. Moreover, they are either inept or did not even think all the implications through (beyond greed/wishful thinking).
Otherwise, they would prioritize avoiding attention higher.
Either way, it seems to be the first (and again, poorly thought out) attempt, not something they do regularly.
I mean, all this abduction nonsense is pure mens rea, when they were in position to get her cooperation.
Suppose Naomi simply offered her help in “dealing with possible complications, you know” right after flashing that aegis, then gave the phone number and date of the next checkup. Otherwise wink-wink, nudge-nudge, demonstratively pretend that nothing unusual happens. Anna is unlikely to have better options, especially when she has a reason to suspect the baby may be… “odd”.
