If I had to take a guess, we would probably get one or two more humorous scenarios involving Tim and a brief scene with Moonlight before returning to Shadow.

Well it is normal, Shadow reacted the same way when she interacted with Tim for the first time… It is a total normal reaction to be interested in how new things work.
In Panel 3, I can actually translate Midight’s growl. “Tim, whar part of head DOWN do you not understand? STFU”

Oh, I shall deal with the origins eventually, even it it’s right at the climax of the story. 😅

Well, this seems relevant to the question about the fancy door. And even more so, the odd way it’s locked. I mean, there seems to be 4 basic possibilities for the cause of «the axle is broken!” event, and consequently Nox changing from what sounds like multiverse transportation hub to a semi-ruined state:
A. Purely natural/technical problem.
B. Deliberate, in an internal conflict.
C. By an outside force.
D. By an inside force, as a way to prevent an outside force doing something even worse.
In cases (A) and (B) there’s no obvious sane reason for either not trying to fix it ASAP or setting up the lock in such an odd way.
Which is to say, this one detail in itself inevitably leads into both Multiverse scale politics and the unequivocal reason why Terminus is a doorknob.

The door is definitely locked and forgotten for a reason, I will say that much.
Ultimately, Electricity is a soft magic in a story anyway. One power source that works for lights, flying, cars, remote communication, vast storage of information. I mean, we literally used electricity to trick rocks into doing some of our thinking for us. It’s fucking magic, man.

He was an acceptable revolutionary diplomat (although a bit of a pantsman but in the 18th C every man who had the opportunity, was) and such an eternal punishment seems a bit …harsh.
I was going more along the lines of the different points of time when electricity was used/discovered and comparing them to different people in history.
• InfinityMadness compared Nikola Tesla (whom mastered electricity) to merlin(whom mastered magic),
• Tomokatu comparing Thomas Alva Edison (whom betrayed Tesla) to Mordred(whom betrayed Merlin)
• myself comparing Prometheus (whom according to greek mythology gave man fire) to Benjamin Franklin(whom discovered electricity after he somehow bloody survived getting electrocuted with 300 Million volts of electricity (ouch) from a bolt of lightning that struck his kite(made of a silk hankerchief and cedarwood with a metal key atrached to the string) during a thunderstorm proving that lightning bolts and thuhderstorms are electrical in nature
Prometheus “gave man fire” but STOLE it from the gods in the first place.
That’s why he was condemned to an eternal doom.
Mr Franklin rebelled againt his rightful king, George, which would merit earthly punishment, but probably not eternal torment.

The TWC vote link was canned after the voting initiative was deleted. The image was stored on Imgur, and in their “infinite wisdom” they decided to purge ALL N.S.F.W. images from their site. It took some time, but they eventually got to TMUTB’s pictures. (It wasn’t even like all the nsfw images were easily available to the general user. At least I couldn’t find them without a link, that is.) There’s a lot of sites out there that I don’t care about so if they want to clear house of smut, so what. But Tumblr and Imgur I cared about, because they had a decent amount of adult orientated images.
There have always been dark forces dedicated to the suppression of sex (discussion of, depictiòns of…)
Unfortunately, they are gaining more and more ascendency. It may only be temporrary, a couple of decades at most.
Identify in your own mind their agents and take individual action locally.
We did it in the 1950s & 60s. The 70s were improved as a result & there’s still a lingering loosening. My time is nearly past now.
