A little too close for comfort, and the cramped space they’re hiding in isn’t really helping either. And Tomas must be a Jedi, cause he sensed a disturbance in the “force”, he should not have dug into Ruth’ hidden goodies stash. LOL
Actually, he’s only an apprentice because he didn’t know what the feeling meant. It looks like Ruth is his Master (OK, Mistress) because she knew exactly what he had done.
Now, the question is, can Tim get more out without her realising?
We shall see! But Ruth might be too busy ‘punishing’ Thomas to notice. 😉

If my math holds up; adjusting for the current timeline, I believe Ruth is 33 and Thomas is 34. They are still relatively young parents as depicted here.

Finally started reading this and I must say, I love how it’s going.
I really like the idea of seeing what happened during that massive time skip in the original.
But.. He cut the photo?! I remember it being kind of important.
Will be interested to see what else changes in this version.
Well thanks for taking the time! Yes, this provides me with a bit more opportunity to explore a few other aspects of their childhood I totally breezed over in the original. Not that the time skip won’t happen – it’s coming next chapter, but even still, it’ll be a bit different from the original. Yes, the photo is destroyed in this version… but is it gone forever? We shall see!
What original are you talking about cause if there is a story similar to this one I would really like to read it
There’s a story I wrote a few years ago that this comic is an adaptation of. Some folks have read it, most haven’t I think. It does contain pretty much all of the spoilers though, so I don’t like telling people where it is anymore. If you’re vigilant about it you can still find it though using Google.
That’s true, I know the location of where that fanfic is, but I will not reveal the location. So to those that want to know all I will say is “Seek and you shall find.” and a comedian add a little to that saying, “Knock and maybe they will let you in.” 🙂

I noticed just now that Captain Dad refers to Tim as “the boy” here and, elsewhere, “kiddo.” Doesn’t he know Tim’s right name? Ruthie does…
He does, he say’s ‘Tim’s Rats’ also. It’s just the relationship they have, I guess.
Rrr. I could say it’s just that he knows Tim’s name, but isn’t willing to use it to his face, I guess.
But that’d just be self-justification, relating to my own inability to grasp what’s on a page of art I’ve read through five or six times already. I suppose my fatigue and exhaustion were showing; I’d been up since about six PM the day before with work and then some vigorous lawn mowing—and was minus on sleep to begin with.

Oh my god I just picked this up, I wish there was MORE!! I love it, sexy, funny, and so sweet I think I got a cavity (or it could be the cake and cookies) but seriously please keep trucking on cause this just hit number 1 on my top ten with My life with fel in second and Atomic Robo in third.
