I’ve been thinking for awhile that the song “When I Grow Up” from Matilda the Musical would make an excellent theme song for this story. What do you think? It mentions monsters under the bed and everything!

Back to asking a new question! (Ipod is stupid and just found out I missed a page) My question is where did you get the insperation to make this fantastic series?
Given that Midnight’s first response is to sniff it, I wonder if smell is a more important sense than sight to the monsters? Then again that makes sense because: a) they’re noturnal and b) fear is communicated by pheromones.
They have strong eyes and noses, both are used for tracking in the darkness.
the blue one knows what transpired, there is only one thing you can do and that’s to deny it ever happen and destroy the evidence.

Yup! This is my first stab at a ‘real’ comic. I’ve doodled them out before growing up, of course… but nothing to this scale.

I’m really, really loving your work. Can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen next. BTW, pardon if someone has asked this already, but is there any significance to their matching cape clasps? Is that a Bed Bug insignia, or something?
In other news… they have no cookies, no parents, not even CAKE? They have no CAKE!? The horror! There’s only one possible explanation for it. These poor monsters obviously hail from Hell itself!
Their clasps aren’t Bed Bug insignias exactly, but it does mean they belong to the same group, yes.
And yeah, they don’t really have the means to grow all the ingredients needed to create cake or cookies where they live, so they were never introduced. Yet!
I JUST noticed Midnight’s freckles on her face and neck. Nice little touch. She’s adorable. 🙂
Huh. I also noticed Midnight’s cape has two sleeves. I guess Shadow prefers the over the shoulder look, huh?
Well, Shadow is wearing a red half-cape, while Midnight is wearing her Ghost-Silk cloak. (Yes, that’s what their dark human-stalking robes are called.) Shadow just isn’t wearing hers tonight, or else she’d have two sleeves as well, like before when she was wearing her dark hooded robe.
