She’s not literally their birth mother, and they aren’t actually sisters. It’s all the dressing of the guild they belong to.

So what’s gonna happen is they get reviewed for how many “scares” they’ve had in the past x-amount-of-time*, and it’ll be revealed that Shadow hasn’t gotten a single scare under her belt for several weeks now?
Devious. However will we get out of this little predicament. Hmm…. Timmy’s school year is approaching, and Shadow will probably have to start focusing more on racking up the scare points so as not to arouse suspicion. Methinks they might not be seeing NEARLY as much of each other.
Well, yes and no. You’re right that they are being reviewed, determined by a scare level, not precisely times, but an accumulation of fear which is measured by their Aegis. Just another one of it’s handy features.
