Although, I think a more appropriate quote should be, “History moves in cycles.” It’s not that people don’t learn from it, but that events will cycle around; the best you can do is learn from the mistakes of the past so that you don’t end up screwed over as badly, and possibly end up better off for it.

How did the Night Mother get a ring on tail? The diamond is in the way. And the extra Jewelry on her head lets her read the aegis?
Maybe the “diamond” is like your earlobe? A definite shape, but bendable to slip the ring over it?
I imagine they are squishy/bulbous at the end.
It could also be a clip type, similar to some metal watch bands.

In that movie they were using screams for power. Here they are using fear for… drugs? Aphrodisiacs? Study aids? Synthetic insulin?
They just enjoy it.

Yeah, sure you can post that. And she’s mostly motherly towards Shadow since she raised her, unlike the other girls. This is why Nightmare called her a ‘Mama’s girl’ a few pages back.
