Aha! I knew the blue guy was Lord Mortis! He’s ALSO making a much earlier appearance this time around. And now I also know why the blue fellow has been slightly off around Shadow.
That means the green fellow can only be [no I’m not going to spoiler!]. He’s far better looking in this than I thought he would be.
Here’s a question – Since your original ‘Shadow saga’ was broken up into two separate stories, are you going to do the same with this comic? Or are you going to sort of merge them together? You’ve already changed enough things that I wouldn’t be surprised at the latter.
Are we ever going to get any background on how these monsters came to exist? They seem to be descended from the same place as humans. Bipedal humanoids, obviously mammals, they breathe oxygenated air like humans, they clearly conceive and birth their children like all other primates, going by the spectacular knockers on MonsterMom they also breastfeed their young, etc. Are they an evolutionary offshoot of humans? Do they predate humans? Nerdy spergs want to know!

Yeah, the green guy needed a refresh, design-wise. I tried the original way and it didn’t really hit me; but don’t worry, he’s still the same guy, just a lot more handsome. It kinda works better for him that way. 😉
Oh, and I DO have an origin story, whether or not I ever choose to fully reveal it or not though…
ALSO, yeah, it’ll all bleed together into one thing.
Maybe reveal the origins of the monsters once the comic has concluded, as a bonus?
Personally, I believe we as fans really do over analyze this comic. It pulls us into a world that we want more information. I want to know more about other cast. Is there a religious cast, a warrior caste, workers/ builders / artisans?
I would love to know how the origin of the species came. Maybe it can be told as a story from a book. IDK. Best story I seen in a while and art to match.

Kax seems to be saying that there was a previous run of this story, and that this is a remake of some kind. I would definitely be interested in perusing that previous run.
Brandon originally wrote MUTB as a series of novellas, this comic is kind of a revised version of that. I’m not going to provide a link, since Brandon doesn’t like it when we link directly to them, but you can probably find them if you really want to. Please be warned that while the comic does not follow exactly the same story as the novellas, they WILL spoil you for much of the plot of the comic.

Heh, judging by the way Moonlight and Mortis’s tails subtly entwine in panel 3, I’m guessing that’s either standard “High class” monster greeting (Like the kissing on the cheeks thing), or they’re going to end up hooking up.
It’s like a handshake at this juncture… although I’m sure they have their place in courtship for certain.

Will you ever sell a physical copy when you are done writing it? If so when would you have it done by? how many installments will it have? How much would each one cost? And could you make a censored version?

love this comic especially when shadow and tim were in bed together 😉 maybe tim could pass a test of some kind that tells the other guys especially the Green guy to back of she’s mine and he does it so masculine alpha wolf like, shadows mom is impressed as she looks at shadow who is smiling and blushes at tim for being so dominant while the same time knowing that he’s the one she loves

Love the incentive pic. I must admit that adult Midnight is pretty hot. Kinda curious what adult Nightmare will look like. That aside, I really love your comic. The art, the storyline, all of it. Keeps me curious as to what will happen next.

Tattoos under the clothes wouldn’t work unless they have a habit of running around naked all the time. I mean, the only way to tell who was a leader would be to be in a sexual situation with him or her and leaders (real leaders) wouldn’t condone that.
They do have tokens of leadership, but they are not displayed openly…
