Why do I feel like one of the brother hood is going to rape shadow…
First, this isn’t a rape comic. It’s NSFW due to nudity, but limits itself to implied sexual relations (see the start of the comic!). I get the feeling rape – even off-panel rape – isn’t part of the story.
Second, she’s NINE! To rape her now would be disgusting, and Brandon’s done a good job of keeping the kids KIDS.
That said, I think Roy (Green-hair) is going to pull something, and not just someone’s tail. As was said above, he’s got that trickster vibe about him. He’s trying to figure out why Mortis is so interested in Shadow; I’m wondering if he sees a familial resemblance.
The comic is pretty cutesy now, but they are children. They grow up eventually and so there is room for darker elements to slowly creep in over time. Even so, there is currently no rape storyline on the horizon.
I never expected rape to be part of the comic but mr.green over there looks edgy to me. And btw I’m so happy I foud this comic again. I read it when there were only a few pages then remembered it and spent months trying to fid it again.

I don’t mind dark, if that “dark” bit is suspense, fear, intrigue, and yes even murder. Rape, though, crosses a line in my mind. Many people don’t understand just how traumatizing it really is for the victim; lifelong PTSD is one of the milder results.
Sometimes I think these guys who want to see characters raped have a “flowers-and-sunshine” view of it, and think it’ll make their stories/characters “sexy”, “dark” and “edgy”. That view is probably furthest from the truth. A good percentage of rape victims later commit suicide, even if they or family members try to hunt down and kill the rapist.
So Brandon, thank you for confirming that you don’t have a rape story in mind, and I trust you to handle it – if you do end up going that route – with the maturity such a thing deserves.
I mean, murder us pretty traumatizing, too. Rape is often used in a hamfisted manner for cheap drama or to add edge, as you say. It’s also more likely that an actual rape victim will run into it in media and be upset than that a MURDER victim will, for obvious reasons (though those traumatized by the murder of a loved one may, so that’s maybe not the best argument for not including it in any stories). Over all, it’s a hard thing to include without running into serious tonal issues, but a good author can do it, and there’s no reason it should be uniquely avoided in a story dealing with other serious and upsetting themes.

I’m afraid this isn’t some harem porn story, if all you want hardcore content then you’d do better looking elsewhere. I have no plans to show graphic penetration or anything like that at all in the pages of this comic. Elsewhere? Possibly… but not here.

So are these “High” mothers and fathers the Oligarchy in this society and form some sort of council, or do they answer to a higher level who have power over them? would they be like lords under a king, or leaders of separate clans forming and breaking allegiances between each other, or something different? It’s also nice to know the leaders of each group is named after a parental figure, kind of shows what the social structure, and reproduction practices and customs are like more.
They are the individual leaders of leader clans (or in this case guilds) that each hold territory along the Axis, which is the greater tunnel system of Nox where all the portals are.

There are so many things that I want to say about this comic.
First, I feel that the eyes of the characters are not really looking where they should be. We can imply where they are looking, since its not hard to know, but it looks odd.
Second, the story so far seems plain and unoriginal. Leaving aside all the sex, if you are going to add a conflict in the timeline between Timothy’s childhood and 10 years later, I can already tell everything will be fine in the end (at least for the two). Also, you can put better effort on the monsters’ names.
Third, your drawings look too “cliche”. Not only appearance but their poses. The way Tim has one eye open and the other half closed makes me think he is hitting on Shadow. Profile faces don’t seem to work well and sometimes we need sequences where we don’t have the characters up close. Lines to indicate movement and facial exaggeration will probably help you indicate their actions. Maybe you could show how Nox looks like (unless you are planning to keep it secret until later) or Tim’s neighborhood.
Either way, I like your use of line and designs. I would recommend focus on the potential the world of Shadow has to the story, and how you can use it to develop the plot.
Remember, never be satisfied with your work, strive to improve it.
