So, somewhere between last chapter and the current time, Midnight found out about Tim. I remember she suspected something was going on between Shadow and a human; but it was never actually stated in so many words that she knew what was going on. It also looks like the competiveness between the two has died down a bit. (At least on this page it has.)
You’re confusing me. Midnight learned about Tim early in the previous chapter. She has not only adjusted to the fact that her best friend has a “wierd” fascination with human stuff but now has a human friend. The big difference with it is that she seems a lot cooler with the idea.
Yes, she no longer calls him Dog-Boy or anything… What could that mean? 😉
Either it became plain it was love which she had found as well…
Or she came to understand the fascination and they agreed to share.

I guess I’m going to have to re-read this. I don’t remember Midnight actually learning about Shadow and Tim. I do, however, remember Midnight catching Shadow returning from Tim’s room on her “day off”. (Of course, re-reading this will also allow me to keep up with what’s going on easier.)
Of course, my memory ain’t what it used to be.
Midnight and Tim have already met more than once. Tim tackles her with a blanket and she cuts his hand with her claws, and later she threatens to kill him if anything bad ever happens to Shadow.
Okay, now that you mention it, I seem to faintly recall these incidents. Like I said, I’ll have to re-read from the beginning to make sure I remember it all.
I feel like we lost something in that time skip, or at least could we know how much time has been skipped? So we get an idea of growth from the characters and etc even if it’s a 3months later thing wrote on the first panel of the comics as you see them and etc. Just something to help us as the readers get a grasp on everything so we can have the times line correct in our heads since the chapters aren’t going to be all fluid in on time section but over the cores of an entire life it seems more or less, so when time skips happen helps to know how much time was skipped other wise you have what seem to.be unfitting and random intros out of no where,.
It always skips back to the same timeline that starts on page 1. 10 years in the future.
Shadow appears, tries and fails to scare Tim, who was expecting her. They sleep together, and the next morning she wakes up, realizes she is late for a meeting with Midnight and takes off. Tim gets dressed, goes downstairs and meets his parents who chide him for sleeping in and then he leaves for work with his father. Meanwhile, Shadow catches up with Midnight like she was supposed to and finds her picking out clothes for a mysterious upcoming event.
Also somewhere between the route from Tim to Midnight Shadow finds lipstick.
Or maybe she had it all along… after I go back and edit in new details. XD Again.
Please, I’m a guy too, but even I know that THIS IS COMPLETELY REPRESENTATIVE OF GIRLS WHEN AROUND OTHER GIRLS, except for the serious lack of any kinky pillow fights. It’s okay though, because BOOBS!!!!

I WAS going to make a joke that movies have led me to believe this really happens… but in monster society they really don’t care about hang ups concerning nudity, so it probably does happen a lot. I mean, they bath in groups. XD

If mid was my assigned scarer I would totally write this in my dream journals:
“I was laying in my bed, having trouble falling asleep. I was watching the stars through the window when suddenly a piece of the midnight sky started moving around in my room…”

I’m wondering what the time line between the three “future” time lapses are ?
I mean between page 1-3, page 29-31 and page 74-75.
Based on the drawings I would estimate the latest to be the one where Timothy and Shadow are
oldest, but it could be just you being more in sync with your characters.
They are all happening over a single night, I’m just getting better at drawing them. I may go back and update a few more details now for consistency.
Oh come on! You’re telling me that you are going to hold out on us with a, possibly, amazing human name for Midnight? Come on! I’m sure it will make magnificent teasing material! How can you not share that with the rest of the class?
