They do both.
Does these photo shops still exist ?
Only in places with high concentrations of hipsters and old people
yes, but not as a private buisness, most are owned by other buisnesses like cvs pharmacy, walgreen, wal-mart, etc
They do in the town where this story takes place!
They do in my local city centre. its an old camera shop that sell old and new models. even sells developing paper and film for said old cameras too ^^

There’s a similar photography shop on the High Street of my part of the city.
Got one here in Brooklyn.
They’re rare, but they are around. Largely, they’re more for artistic photographers that prefer older film photography for the effect it achieves.

Thankfully, this can only happen with non-reflex silver cameras, which are getting increasingly rare nowadays.

They still have shops that develop film? ‘Cause at the Walgreens I used to take my film to, I was quite literally the last person to have a roll of film developed there, before they ripped the developer out. They send them out now…but I more or less abandoned photography after that, and haven’t really tried out digital yet…

Not intentionally, no. I’ve never watched Courage the Cowardly Dog before in my life, so any similarities are purely coincidental. I just drew a throwaway random old lady we’ll probably never see again.
