I stumbled upon this comic from somewhere on the bad side of the internet and was hooked. Read it all in one sitting. I really love your characters and your style.
I’m thinking about it more and more, but it won’t be anything too special. I barely have time to draw the comic, let alone a ton of bonus stuff for Patreon as well. We’ll see though.
You know, Brandon, you wouldn’t need to do bonus stuff. One idea would be that at a certain level, the patrons would be able to view the comic a day or two early. Plus, you could just have, say, two levels. The lower level is for those who just want to show their appreciation for what you do and receive nothing extra for their patronage and the second level could, as I mentioned above, be able to view the comic a day or two early.
But then I’d have to make it in the middle of the week sometime, which is when I have the least time to work on it. Or arbitrarily change the update day to another day.
Okay. Well, it was just a suggestion.
Then you could just give subscribers a hint about what the next strip will be about, or nothing at all and just have a way to donate. I don’t doubt many of us would love to support you, even a little bit, and even for no direct reward! Helping you continue is great any way you slice it.
I would fully be down to support this via Patreon. Not sure if that helps your decision there, but I look forward to this comic every week and would be hyped to support it.
Hi Brandon, greetings from Germany. I appreciate your comic. I don’t know how you work, but if you make handdrawn sketches you could send signed sketches to higher level patreons.

Or you just put the comic up on Patreon as well, at the same time as here and on FB. That’s enough, it’ll get mailed to us which is fast too.
You could also put up all voting bonuses as well, when they happen. The thing is just to let us be able to donate a small amount per month without feeling like cheapos, since it’ll add up over time without any of us having to remember anything or putting up bigger amounts every now or then.
You don’t have to – I’ll happily read anyway, but I’d like to have a tip jar through Patreon. 😀

Honestly, if I used plastic, I would likely consider donating. My only ulterior motive would be to ensure survival of a quality comic.

I kinda wonder, how does shadow species set the standard for being good? Is it the same for us (love your fellow human/monster, don’t steal, don’t kill, etc. etc)? For that matter, is even being called a “good girl/boy” an insult or a complement? For humans it is not, but for monsters….

I don’t think there was a specific seed of an idea that inspired me, if there was I can’t recall what it was. I know for certain it was not Little Monsters or Monsters Inc., though.
yeah, this is nothing like Little Monsters or Monsters, inc. What it reminds me most of is the early days of Star vs The Forces of Evil
But I created this comic BEFORE that show was even a thing… so… yeah.
