Ha, well my goal is to make everything interesting, even if it doesn’t pay off right away.
A good writer always does. He realizes that a good story requires plot development. Sometimes, it’s done quickly, sometimes a little more slowly. It’s the climax that’s the most important. In a long running series, such as this, there can be several climaxes, each ending a different aspect of the story-line.
I seriously hope he’s just gonna ask her to bang.

It’s sort of just playing off the fact that Nightmare and Terminus are entering into the same sort of ‘teaching’ arrangement that Shadow and Tim have entered into, just a more directly underhanded version of the deal.

Y’know, I don’t want to crap on the comic, but this page kinda disappointed me story-wise. I was hoping Nightmare and Terminus would try to out-manipulate each other in getting what they wanted while giving up as little as possible. You know, the back and forth villian vs. villian thing.
But yeah, it seems Nightmare is not the manipulator type. She’s the spoiled brat that throws a fit whenever she doesn’t get her way. The stupid spoiled brat. I mean, really Nightmare? “I’ll do anything you say!”? Terminus is going to play her like a fiddle!
Maybe she would have normally but hearing that *Shadow* beat her score has knocked her confidence.
Nightmare is a weapon to be aimed, Terminus simply aims her in ways beneficial to himself.
