I remember that show. Had a surprising amount of adult humour/situations for a ‘kids’ show.
No matter how “Kid friendly” a tv show is, its still written and created by adults with adult amusement in mind. Save the Teletubbies and other similar programs

I’m not artist myself but layering is pretty standard even when doing it by hand. You could probly find a youtube video showing how some artists do it.

This is one of only two comics I’ve been willing to read since I graduated from picture books as a kid. I watch a lot of anime, so having a romance that actually develops without the girl being a tsundere, the guy running away, or the girl attacking the guy out of embarrassment is one of the highlights of my week.
I know, right? I’m kinda tired of that same old crap in anime.
And dumb harem shows where every girl is in love with the main character for practically no reason, and he never picks anyone and never gets any. 😉
Heh yes it’s very common in anime course those shows are all drawn by repressed men dreaming of what they wish was there lives. LOL

Girl cooties + Spooky scary cooties = shiver down your.. pants. There’s plenty of good comics out there, but yours is a special case where the characters are lovable, interesting, developing, and most of all have a great story to tell. You are doing it right, and you should feel very proud. I mean, “veeeery” proud.
In time we’ll once again see monsterworld under Tim’s bed.
