Is this ’92 or ’93?
They’re playing on a SNES, so it must be after August 1991; there’s a NES below it and the Super Mario World cartridge is the original one (not the Super Mario All-Stars), so I assume this was before 1994. The VHS and cathode TV with buttons straight on the TV are typical from the early 90s, too.
Not sure about the level, though… Chocolate Island?

It was said a long time ago that this was set in the 90s (at least the childhood bits). His father runs a photographic studio and film processing place (not a business that would work well these days). His mother seems to be a housewife.
Personally, yes, I do think she’s some kind of monster.

Love the comic btw.I know it gets old if every week someone says how much they love this comic, but i have to tell you because you deserve all the praise you get and possibly more. And I hate that there isn’t more i can criticize you for than your upload rate(and I understand the reasons for that). The wait kills me every week.
