#1 “Boo!”
Welcome to my webcomic, The Monster Under the Bed!
I hope you’ll enjoy my little tale, and see it through to it’s ultimate conclusion! (whenever that may be!)
A small warning to those sensitive about mature/adult content: I consider this story to fall somewhere between PG-13 and an R Rating. It contains NSFW material. Here; there be monsters.
Oh, and please excuse the rough edges of the first few pages, I really didn’t have much of a grasp on ‘comic-ing’ or of the characters themselves when I started this project. Thank you in advance.

how old is he in this page to the current on ?
Currently he is supposed to be 18 years old, although sometimes I have a bit of trouble really infusing that adult look into him.
so his like 18 or something in this page
Yeah. That’s it exactly. Mind you, I don’t think he’s drawn exactly the best on the first page, I was still kinda getting used to drawing him here. I’ve picked up a few tricks since back here.
so do you have any plans on where your taking this comic and how long it will be? i was thinking you could show how they grew up together from their first encounter when they were 8 to their first awkward kiss to their first sexual encounter, which could be because say she walked in on him changing clothes or something, all the way up till they are 18 and even further! just please dont make the mistake a lot of comic makers do and make things go too quickly in the comic or grow tired of making it! now im not telling you how to do your comic just wanting to give some creative ideas that i hope youll use and will help you! but i will say i love this comic so far! i read lots of web comics but yours is only the second to make me actually want to leave a comment on because its that good!
I have a plan, and this will be a long comic, for sure.
I’ll be focusing a bit more on their childhood and adolescence over the next 2 chapters, dropping in on them from time to time as time passes. We’ll get to see some important steps along the way, but ultimately I’ll be focusing on them as young adults and some major problems that end up pulling them both into a plot that could threaten both their worlds, and their lasting future.
Wow, six years ago and he had it all planed
Also, is there anything that you have changed from your plan since then?
It’s a pretty fluid plan, to be fair. A rough draft of events that gets more solid, the closer I get to upcoming events.
I just already love this comic *^*
Thanks!
Looks like an interesting comic. Time to get reading. BANZAI
Saw the description for this on top100, instantly had to take a look. I cannot resist monster girls and cute stories.
Thanks for checking my comic out!
I began reading yesterday and I really enjoyed it the characters are adorable good work. And thx cause seeing you post your work like this gave me guts to begin my own story thank you.
Welcome and Thank you!
Glad I could inspire you to start your own project, and I wish you luck on it! Just starting something is sometimes all the push yup need!
My ex is blind so I notice how accessible sites are for blind and partially sighted people. Whilst we were dating, I gave up webcomics as a lost cause. Since then I’ve noticed that a some of the webcomics I read do have a script available.[1] Rather than ask you to do something when you are snowed under, I’ve decided embark on writing an accessible script for potential blind readers. Feel free to use my work and/or edit it. My ex used JAWS[2] so I’m writing this taking the limitations of the software into account.[3]
Panel 1:
Description: An eighteen year old man sits at a computer.
No dialogue
Panel 2:
Description: A grinning humoid monstrous shadow appears behind him.
No dialogue
Panel 3:
Description: Side view of monster. It is still in shadow and reaches for him.
No dialogue
Panel 4:
Description: Monster is frozen in place, female, and wearing a cloak. Monster looks annoyed.
Dialogue:
Man: Nice try!
[1] For example: Think Before You Think, Quantum Vibe and Cat Nine
[2] Other screen readers exist but JAWS is probably the most popular one
[3] From what I remember it doesn’t distinguish between capital and small letters, nor does it distinguish between fonts or font types (by font types I mean bold, italics, etc). JAWS, also insists on reading every link out first before reading the text on the page but I can’t do anything about that.
I’d be interested to hear what you think.
Well, it’s a noble cause although I don’t really have the time myself right now to transcribe all of my pages into this sort of script. Nor any real way of presenting it in a way I’d like.
I’ll carry on transcribing them. I aim to complete 2 to 3 pages a week.
It really doesn’t sound that good when you spell it out like that.
I sorta get what you’re trying to do… but it seems to me that simply trying to make more new audio-format fiction would be a more worthwhile investment of time than trying to convert webcomics.
Or at the least novelise the story in a less abrasive-sounding manner.
Thinking about it, it might be better to put the names in:
Panel 1:
Description: An eighteen year old man (Tim) sits at a computer.
No dialogue
Panel 2:
Description: A grinning humoid monstrous shadow appears behind him. It looks like she’s got two horns.
No dialogue
Panel 3:
Description: Side view of monster. It is still in shadow and reaches for him.
No dialogue
Panel 4:
Description: Monster (Shadow) is frozen in place, female, and wearing a cloak. The “horns” turn out to be two plumes of hair held in place by clips. Monster looks annoyed.
Dialogue:
Tim: Nice try!
I’ve been in touch with my ex. She’s had a look at what I did so far. She says that it’s OK.
OH, I do believe I figured out how she screwed up; she must have forgot computer screens are reflective. An observant person would be able to pick out shapes on their screen behind them, so long as what they’re viewing isn’t too bright.
I just found this comic yesterday and it is amazing 😀
would you do a commission piece
I don’t take commissions.
I just stumbled onto your comic and i just have to say i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I really can’t wait for your next pages!!! I’m really excited to find hidden gems like your work. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! <3
Please make more pages I need more!

Next Sunday.
Absolutely loved the story 10/10!
(Sorry in advance if the next part of my comment is rude.)

There will be, but not just at the end!
