I have been getting a RED screen popup from Firefox, whenever I try to view your site, telling me it is listed as an attack site. This has been happening for about a week. An additional poup offers to “fix” it. Ilooks as if your site is spawning AD-ware.
hmm odd i use the site all the time with chrome and i dont have any issues like that, also i doubt this site is what you claim “spawning ad-ware” its probably your computer that has a problem most likely, try using a different browser other than firefox and see if you get the popup, if you do then your computer does have a problem, and you should look into it, one more thing just to clarify this is not a malicious site, i dont see anyone else in the comments talking about this issue your having.
That appears to be an issue with redirects from topwebcomics.com. If I go through their link, I get the warning. If I go directly to this site (themonsterunderthebed.net), I don’t get the warning.
Scary claims (usually in popups) saying that your machine is infected, are a standard ruse to trick people into downloading and running software. You don’t ever want to run software from strangers trying to scare you into running their software.
it’s the ad blocker…. on 3 different computers i tried the same thing.. on the desk top i had the ad block turned off, with the new down load it started doing this.. on the laptop had ad block on , no problem ,, turned off , problem.. on tablet no problem…
Well in a previous comic Animaniacs was playing in the background they aired late 1993 till late 1998 so what ever played in that time frame assuming he wasn’t watching a rerun after the show was canceled.
” I’m still not exactly motivated right now”
Is it because the person who died was somebody very important and dear to you?
And by the way, do you have any regrets about having started this comic? Because if you weren’t doing it, you would be able to spend more time with the passed person. The same is true for alive people too. If you abandon this project right now, you will be able to spend more time with your loved ones/friends. And maybe for some of them you have the way less time remained than you think. Just read this article: http://waitbutwhy.com/2015/12/the-tail-end.html
That is an incredibly insensitive thing to say to someone.
If you don’t like a comic, don’t read it, instead of preying on bad things in the author’s life as a way to urge them to stop.
“If you don’t like a comic, don’t read it, instead of preying on bad things in the author’s life as a way to urge them to stop.”
On contrary, I like this comic and I’m grateful to Brandon for creating it, but I was struck by the article and I thought that maybe it would be unfair to be silent about this. It would be like as if I stripped Brandon out of choice, exploited his (possible) ignorance in order to get free pleasure.
And no, I don’t regret creating this comic. I just need some time right now. I should be back to normal by next update, in fact, you may get two. The ‘next’ page is rather simple.
Maybe you should try to hold the second one, as a mini buffer. You don’t seem to use current events in your strip, so a buffer, when possible without undo stress, would be useful.
Good to hear, it means that creativity is as important for you as relationships. So we as readers can enjoy your comic without feeling guilty that you sacrifice your relationships time in order to enjoy us.
In fact, maybe the comic will help you to recover from your grief. Just don’t push yourself too hard.
If your not particularly motivated to update right now you should take a leave and have some fanart updates or something, but for the love of god PLEASE TELL US WHAT YOUR DOING FIRST!
Hm…..
I suspect that Tim will have to (at some stage in the future) introduce Shadow to the concept of (Ta-daaa!) SWIMMING!
Either lake or river (“th’ ol’ swimmin’ hole”) or surf,
Does Nox have bodies of water or is it dry? I can see in my mind’s eye Shadow’s response (“what is it?” “No, Tim, there’s too much of it. it will swallow you!!) FEAR!!
Perhaps it could be a way of dealing with the Noxie nasties!
I’ve been thinking about Tim one day transforming to Nox, and what he might have to do to survive (“who is this total stranger?” –even if looks fully Nox, what we’ve seen so far implies a culture in which everyone knows everyone else). Having carnivore teeth and significant claws, it is possible that their typical fighting style is rather brute-force. This means Tim could maybe have an advantage if he studied some unarmed-combat arts….
Claws and carnivore teeth accepted, but those morpholgical features are also found on scavengers.
The Nox lifestyle (BOTHER!!! — one of the cats has just raced into the computer room and puked all her breakfast into my laser printer!) ….ahem!…. being strongly oriented to getting fear points from humans and the strong attraction to fridges and cookies (i.e.not hunting, not producing) does point to a scavenging origin.
Now that also indicates a potentially sucessful alternative combat strategy for Tim, namely aggressive posturing. It works well in a one on one confrontation but is more problematical in a one on many scenario. Bigger, shinier, longer FANGS and red nailpolish in Tim’s Nox morph would help.
But yes, a couple of years of aikido practice would be a good plan.
How about while Tim and Shadow are spending time together Girls Und Panzer happens to be on TV.
Pretty sure that show wasn’t around in the time frame this stuff is going on.
first aired Oct 9 2012 soo 20 years later….
Hmmm.. perfect vision or Noxian contacts or constant blur?
But nerd girls in glasses are seriously sexy so Noxian bed-monster girls, maybe even more so.

I also use Firefox, and get no such popups, looks like you are infected with malware.
I am not having this issue at all.
firefox user here as well and I am not having this issue

In this time frame what TV shows are on?
Well in a previous comic Animaniacs was playing in the background they aired late 1993 till late 1998 so what ever played in that time frame assuming he wasn’t watching a rerun after the show was canceled.
As I recall, there was also an SNES sitting on top of the TV, so it’s likely we can put it at the earlier end of the timeframe.
90’s stuff.
Just wondering if this will be updated this week?
Probably not, I’ve been working on it, but I’m still not exactly motivated right now and I’m pretty behind schedule. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I hope things work out and get better.
I (we all) like your comic, and wish you the best…
hoping that when you find some inspiration you can push out a few pages ahead that way you’ll have a buffer for times like these.
To Brandon

I agree with rws. if you make a few extra pages, you should hold them as a buffer. Especially with your patron count. PPPx
well bENCE,two because of the last one.BUT I’M NOT COMPLAINING! 😛
Motivation? I’ll share my Nutella!
Do what ya gotta do, but one comic per three weeks is not a path to success.
Oi, why you stealing my name, mate?
Take your time, you have had it tough. We are all willing to wait. Just the rough looks really good.
Yeah, Tim definitely looks like he is giving Shadow’s aegis some significant fear-points to score!
If your not particularly motivated to update right now you should take a leave and have some fanart updates or something, but for the love of god PLEASE TELL US WHAT YOUR DOING FIRST!
He DID!
3 weeks (2 episodes) ago.
You must miss your deceased family member a lot.
It does not matter how long it takes – Stay in there and take you time… Your work is worth waiting for…
Brandon, the comic is up to you. Personal loss is shit to deal with. Take all the time you need to get straight. We’ve all been there. It gets better.
If it makes you feel any better Brandon, I had a dream the other night where Tim and Shadow went to Disneyland.
Haha, nice!

Now – printer cleaning time.
They have small bodies of water in several places, whether naturally occurring or not. Like the communal bath area.
Public fountains, also, in which to frolic (or pose) among the statuary, perhaps?
Or do you see natural hot springs like Japanese onsen? Maybe New Zealand hot volcanic mud baths?
As another who has lost close family members (we all have, or will at some time), deepest sympathy.
Thank you!
I thought you were multiple people
